Hi all,

I put together a great way to see nationwide Integra Type S inventory, either in transit / on site.

https://www.motoringobsession.com/stock/integra-type-s

  • Current count is 668 cars with 256 in transit

  • In addition to providing a map of incoming cars, I've created ability to report markups at dealers so we as a community are informed on the market dynamics. Please share your pricing reports!

  • For live updates, sign up and get notifications via the discord link.

Love your feedback!

Thanks!

This is a great tool, thank you.

Any way to show how long a particular unit has been sitting?

If you click the individual vehicle, you’ll see when it was “first seen” on the Acura website

About time lol. This sort of tool is very useful.

Out of curiosity, how are you extracting the data for this?

This is fantastic, wish I had it when I was looking !

Seems like quite a bit more inventory now, including Red Pearl, tho many of these may already be sold.

Pretty cool and thanks for sharing. It basically makes my "What color do you want/have" thread moot since one of the goals was to see the volume of Lunar Silver.

Again, I understand this is not scientific or conclusive proof but 26/668 = 3.8% of total which is in line with the rumor.

Looks like the CTR is sitting on the lots.
Those dealers will be forced to lower their prices. The ITS is eating their sales.

It's easy to think that, but I've been loosely following this tracker since March. The inventory has been a lot higher since then for several months now... yet the average markup seems to be holding steady at $10k.

This is down from $15k in March, yes... but that is still absolutely a very high markup that people are still reporting to be paying (or at least dealers are asking...) ON AVERAGE, for cars that seem to be readily available. That seems to be significantly higher than the typical asking price of a markup on the ITS... data shows ~$7k but based on 1/10th the sample size... give it a few weeks and it will probably settle in around $5k.

My consensus is that as long as capitalism is still a thing, the market seems to have determined that either the ITS or the CTR is worth roughly $60k before taxes and other fees, and as long as dealers know this then that's what you can expect to pay...

At least in Reddit CTR sub forum, people are posting that they bought at or very close to MSRP on new CTRs. Posts like that started to show up in the last few weeks. Getting more common over time.

Not saying it can't happen... but I think the expectation is that those are still exceptions.

You're not wrong though, an MSRP deal on a CTR was virtually unheard of a few months ago. But inventory has been high for a few months. Maybe this is just how long it took?

Actually weather is a significant factor. With most owners on here and in the CTR forums starting to talk about putting their cars up for winter or switching to winter tires/all seasons, now is probably not the best time to sell a sports car.
