clutch durability

Some folks had experienced slippage in the 10th generation at stock power levels.
Chances increase once you start tuning and the need for a new clutch should be a priority.

Does Acura use the same clutch unit as the Civic SI?

Same clutch. I didn't notice any slippage with normal power but if you get a tune you will see it in the upper psi ranges

Dang phone messed up my sentences hahaha. I have owned 3 10th gen Si’s. The clutches are very weak any abuse or a tune and you will be replacing your clutch sooner then later.

Ha, ok. I thought I read somewhere that the CTR/ITS have a different, more beefy clutch. Is that my imagination? Aren't we good until about 400 Lb/ft?

Yeah the FL5/DE5 clutch is good for over 500hp from what I have read.

Question was the SI/Aspec clutch which is very weak.

yeah im slipping a bit on map 2 with phearable tune in higher gears. don't notice anything on the 1-4.
