Does anyone know how to get the native voice recognition to work by short pressing the talk button? I would like to disable Alexa as the default voice assistant. In my last car a Civic I was able to use the voice prompts to play specific songs at artists off a USB flash drive. I believe our cars have the same ability but I made the mistake of setting up Alexa and now can't figure out how to get the cars voice recognition to work. I don't want to factory reset because the manual says the you will lose Acuralink. It will disable it...Any help is appreciated.

Not sure whether this will work, but just a thought: does your car show up in your Amazon account? See if there's a setting to remove/unlink it there.

I didn't setup Alexa and when I just short press the button, it opens up "setup Alexa" screen. When I have Android Auto connected, I long press the button for Google Assistant.

I removed from my Amazon account but Alexa still comes up on the screen when I push the talk button.

Yeah that's what I'm getting the setup but there is another part to this system... Just can't get to it.

Could these commands be connected to Alexa on Integra? I had an old Acura(which had built-in nav) where I could tell the system to tune to a specific channel, adjust climate control, temp, music tracks... as you mentioned.

This is what I found online:

You can change the mode on the General Settings screen.

Voice Control* - I am not near my vehicle, however there could be a setting to change the voice mode.

Yes I did see that menu option in the owners manual but it doesn't show up as option on the general settings screen for me.

I might try the Acura customer relations number in the manual. Maybe they can help. thanks for taking a stab at it 🙂 I appreciate it.

I didn't think it had its own voice assistant, just Alexa baked in. I've never used it because fuck amazon.

Make sure Alexa is installed correctly. Open Alexa on your panel and go to settings. Turn off Alexa hands free. You should now be able to use the native touch to talk button.
Hope this helps.

I gave this a shot but it didn't work. I think that setting disabled the Speaking "Alexa" then your request and only lets you activate her via the talk button. Thank you for posting.
