At the same time a lot of the cars the Type S is compared to for the price are really 10-15k more than the MSRP of the ITS once you add the options that most would get. Either that or go used at which point is it a fair comparison..
I am waiting on my local dealership to have their demo ready to test drive it again. The jury is still out for me.
I think the price and mark-ups are what bother me the most. That and the rear fender flares. I know it's silly but man I can't help but look at them every time I see the car and...
Test driven both. CT4V Blackwing was amazing although it's jail territory anytime you really get on the throttle. Incredible ride. For me, it blew the Type S out of the water. It's not the fairest comparison though. The blackwing is in a different weight class engine wise and is about 15 grand...
I can understand the Type R mark-up a little bit. The cars each have a number, they are made in Japan, it looks amazing (subjective) and the driving experience is second to none for its intended purpose. Is all that worth 15-20k over asking? Hell no, but I can see why the average is 54-55 ish...
If I spent multiple hours alone with the car on canyon roads or a track.. I might arrive at the same conclusion. Just sharing my experiences, fun to debate what always boils down to personal preference
I drove them fairly close together starting with the A spec. I am not considering the A spec but was curious to see how an Integra drove while I was waiting for the ITS release to arrive.
I am aware of the reviews, there are certainly some very positive aspects of this car. At the same time...
15 min test drive yesterday in a white demo with all the accessories installed. Glaring fitment issue above left headlight, which I assume is more from the dealer taking the front off to put on the illuminated emblem but it was egregious. Fitment everywhere else was fine. The front molded...
Unless your budget is unlimited.. every car is a compromise. I too groaned a bit at the price when everyone was predicting 48 but at the end of the day if it delivers 90% of the FL8 experience with the added creature comforts, thats a home freakin run
People wanted an attainable Type R in a suit and that's exactly what they got, now its not good enough because it doesn't have every feature of cars 10k more expensive for a price tag of 48k.
The front flare is beautiful but the rear flare is fugly IMO. Only 1/3rd molded into the metal, rest is tacked on and has a billion joints chopping it up. Weird nitpick I know but I can't get past it.
Is anyone else irrationally bothered by the rear fender flare? I was/am hyped for this car for the same reasons as everyone else. However, the patched on nature of the rear flare with what seems like a billions lines going through it, drives me freaking nuts. Almost to the point of not being...
