Are any of these pics the diamond silver? I didn't think so but figured I'd ask.
I think that would look sharp on a TEP if anyone has any photoshop skills. The kind of dual metallic color look.
Appreciate the insight everyone. The damage is isolated to the rear bumper (most of damage to the piano black section, but the actual bumper did sustain damage too so I suspect that's why they have to do more of the car to make it blend in?
They're pretty highly rated, and come with a lifetime...
So question, damage is mostly minor, going through other parties insurance, they've accepted full liability. The shop wants to repaint half the car to best color match (Tiger Eye Pearl) is that normal because it's a pearl? or the way the rear kind of connects to that whole piece. I guess I'm...
Not to nitpick your achievement because it is a cool one, but didn't you need to blend E20 and run some spicy timing to get that number and your real street numbers are a bit lower?
I'm always curious, but as someone who needs a a more street/maintenance friendly tune I have to go a little less...
Same here, It legit barely works. I've gotten to and from my destination with everything else in the car doing what it's supposed to and still no visibility out the back. It's by far the worst of any I have ever owned.
Meanwhile I made friends with a guy who works a block away from my house, and drives a TEP/Ebony just like me. I drove by his place of work, and saw it and was like wtf, so I went around the block to come check it out, and he was outside because he saw me drive by haha.
Davis Acura sold me mine like 3 months ago for MSRP + 2.5K with no addons. I didn't want to wait as my FK8 was totaled and that was the only TEP with Ebony interior I could find nearby. I'd bet they're more reasonable now, not worse and right outside philly?
Happened with my FK8 literally once a month, I've had it happen 3x already with the Type S, it's a stupid fucking brake shield design and I'd wish they fix it, it's embarrassing as all hell to have this happen and be driving near other people.
I have this knob installed because I preferred the red lettering over the black on the ITS accessory knob. The base of this CTR knob is larger than the one on the ITS so it fits and works with no issues, but isn't perfectly flush. I think if I could get my hands on the shift boot collar from a...
I'm obviously on other coast but my local dealership did the front emblem installed for $178 and that included the emblem itself. They had a sheet that was like accessories ordered and installed price. They were the most expensive, but another local dealership offered to do it cheaper and my...
I have the TSP1 tune and noticed the car revs a good bit past the 7. I don't think it did that stock, but in hindsight I don't think I redlined it much before then since I got it tuned so early.
I'd love to see a picture of the FL5 forged wheels on a DE5. I love the look of them and remind me of the old ITR wheels.
I've never been more clueless on what wheel setup/color I want to run than I am with my ITS. TEP makes me not want to do anything gold/bronze. OEMs are dark gray borderline...
Did you have it in your windshield? or not at all? In my experience (long time ago), having it in the window solicited more attention than not having it at all.
I haven't had a front plate for over 12 years in NJ (2 plate state). No tickets and haven't been pulled over for it, let alone mentioned during a stop.
I appreciate your testing on this. Usually what happens with these is that people are like yeah they're no major NVH, but these are the same people who have 4" exhausts with no cats or resonators with stripped interiors and they're like yeah no this is normal for a street car and there's no...
