I’ve had my Apexi on for what seems like a month now, and it’s really damn-near perfect for me of an upgrade from the aesthetics, to the rowdiness in Sport+ mode, to how much refinement it retains on the highway in Comfort mode.
In Comfort mode around town, I can “lay low” sound-wise for the...
My local ITS club members and I were just joking/chatting about how we hardly are ever able to park this car straight the first time, due in large part to the backup camera.
I consider myself very fortunate to have been in a position to have an Integra Type S, and don’t take that for granted. However, I’m a big fan of the value that the Elantra N represents and have a tremendous amount of respect for what Hyundai accomplished for that price point.
As for the topic...
Yup I wonder how much it would change my stock setup since AHC’s car has an aftermarket front pipe and downpipe. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to change out the front pipe yet (Apexi or otherwise).
I had a MK7 Golf R that was modified fairly extensively but its driving dynamics and character overall never tempted me to go canyon driving after the first couple of times.

Just took delivery a few weeks ago, and noticed today what appears to be poor sealant application from the factory. Guess I’ll have to apply some RTV sealant myself, and carefully clean up the hardened clear sealant that flowed partway down the sides.
Anyone else have the same thing on...
Had a quick browse of that FL5 to CRV thread and do agree with the guy who said that the sound/character of the FL5 engine/exhaust is quite boring.
That’s one of the reasons why I traded my FL5 for a new ITS - Any additional exhaust character is appreciated.
I wanted Apex Blue badly (had a Lapiz Blue Golf R and a Long Beach Blue M2), but they’re unicorns in Canada it seems. Had to “settle” with either white or black and chose white.
Thanks! Will either go with that dry carbon option or try to find a gloss carbon option. The centre shifter console, I’ll go with alcantara (Overland, or local wrap).
Is there a gloss carbon trim piece in the works in the aftermarket for this cabin trim?
Can’t believe how easily it was accidentally scratched today (first day of ownership) with the USB-C plug. :(
Between the fitment issues of the Artwork spoilers, to the cost and drilling of the OEM carbon one, I think I’ll just stick with the subtle and classy OEM lip spoiler.
Taking delivery of the car tomorrow and have informed the dealer that I’ll decline the carbon spoiler that I was close to...
