I should love the new Z. I was brought home from the hospital as a newborn in a 260z which we had for decades. However, as beautiful looking and nice sounding as it was, my G35 Coupe was a tremendous disappointment due to a horrible clutch/transmission combo, in addition to a battery drain...
Exactly this - if the key is in the same pocket as my cell, it won't work on Acura products. No issues with our Lexus, Porsche or various rental cars while on vacation.
The HUD in my car became pixilated over night and the right digit of the speed was not showing. They replaced by HUD under warranty. It was a lengthy fix but I had a loaner and the new one is working perfectly.
Agree, if any manual begs for a shift indicator it’s this car. I’ve owned a dozen stick shifts and never shifted from 6th to 6th before. I’ve done it a handful of times in the Integra. My TSX reved just as high at speed but must have had more differentiation between gears.
I've experienced number 3 on the list above, and solved it by not keeping my key next to my cell phone. Do you commonly have them in the same pocket?
I don't use the mirror tilt or easy exit options but I know others on here have mentioned the mirror concern.
Ha, I have that same divot. 5'9, 135 lbs here!! The interior quality on these cars almost makes me forget how much I love the steering and transmission!!
I think it depends on your use case. I tried a Type S after owning my A Spec 6MT for a couple years. I could have easily done the switch financially as I found a dealer discounting the Type S before that was a thing everywhere yet still giving a good trade in price for mine. On suburban...
The manual BMWs (M2, M3, Z4) are very good. I think you would like your M3 more if you had gone with the base 6MT version. Any thought on getting one of those?
The Integras are really fun cars, probably more fun than the BMWs save the Z4. You will have a significant decrease in overall...
They are pretty similar in all regards. I do say the Integra allows earlier shifting, which makes the rev hang a little less objectionable. It never really bothers me anyhow. If you shift at the same rpm, the amount hang also seems the same.
Hey Experts,
I really miss the M Sport shift knob from my BMW. Any ideas if this would fit and/or aftermarket alternatives for Acuras/Hondas that look similar? Looking for something leather than is better at remaining temperate in the winter and summer!
I sold my 07 TSX 6MT (great cars!) about 1.5 years before I got my Integra A Spec 6MT. I loved my TSX, it was an amazing car. I also love the Integra, and it feels more similar to the TSX than any other car I have tried. There are things I prefer about each.
While the steering heft of the...
I had a Sapphire Blue Macan and ABP Integra at the same time for a couple of years. Both colors look great.
I, too, prefer regular ABP to Double ABP which often looks washed out. Bummer they made this switch.
Interesting that the base model which gets the bulk of the upgrades rose by $400 but the A Spec Techs go up $1,200.
Love my A Spec Tech 6MT, that really is a nice daily driver trim.
