  2. Defect in shifter/gearbox or is this normal?

If I'm not mistaken, BMW manuals are direct linkage while the ITS is cable actuated shifter. You get a more satisfying gear change when the shift fork of a direct linkage hooks up. The ITS has soft rubber engine mounts which causes the engine to rock especially when changing gears. I installed...
  3. Would the Type S Actually Benefit from a Front Strut Bar?

I got the PRL STB. It looks cool. No dramatic change in handling, but steering does feel a little more precise. I did install it with spacers (15mm/F 20mm/R) and the PRL Rear Motor Mount. The RMM makes a huge difference. The gear changes are much more smoother.
  4. Wheel spacers

Did you torque the spacer nuts to 103.5 ft/lbs or 80 ft/lbs?
  5. [Solved] Low speed drivetrain rattles?

Unless you're really sensitive, NVH with the PRL RMM is negligible.
  6. Integra Type-S Expansion tank failure.

The hose clamps prevent coolant from spilling when you detach the hoses (top and bottom). You'll still have residual coolant in the tank but you can tape the top port closed and just lay a towel under the lower hose port of the tank when disconnecting. If you sucked out most of the coolant...
  7. Integra Type-S Expansion tank failure.

https://www.mishimoto.com/honda-civic-type-r-aluminum-expansion-tank-2017.html It only took a few days to ship from Pennsylvania to California. The install itself took like 20 minutes since I drained the plastic tank with a syringe...
  8. Rear motor mount options

I second PRL. I've had it installed for a couple of days now and you can definitely feel the rumble at start up but after that, all I notice is that gear changes are smoother and immediate, not from the shifter but from how the engine is responding. I used to wheel hop with an aggressive launch...
  9. Integra Type-S Expansion tank failure.

I'm 1600 miles in and didn't want to worry if it will fail or not and replaced with the Mishimoto aluminum one.
  10. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

1600 miles in and not waiting for the coolant reservoir to start leaking so replaced it with the Mishimoto aluminum reservoir. The description still says FK8 but definitely fits the DE5. PRL Strut Tower Brace as well. Torqued to 46 ft/lbs if anyone is curious since the instructions don't...

  12. List of Honest Acura Dealerships For Type S (MSRP vs Markup List -- Integra Type S)

No, mandatory add ons or packages. They called me too about the same ABP/Orchid and then TEP/Black. I bought accessories through the dream shop to pick up at Stevens Creek Acura since they were cheaper than adding to the car at time of purchase; however, since the dream shop is no longer linked...
  13. List of Honest Acura Dealerships For Type S (MSRP vs Markup List -- Integra Type S)

Paid MSRP 12/02 at Acura of Fremont. I waited about 4 months for an Apex Blue/Black. Only SF Bay Area dealer that offered MSRP.
