Are people having a hard time getting these for MSRP? I've basically worked with two dealers. One offered MSRP off the bat. The other was 5k ADM, and then they called me a month later to say they were no longer asking for an ADM and were selling at MSRP. I've put in almost zero legwork and got...
I originally had one locked in at MSRP, but canceled when I saw what the MSRP was set at. 52 grand just feels like a lot for this car. I think if they had kept the sporter CTR seats (or a version of them) and seating for 5, I could have maybe, possibly justified it. But without them, I will stay...
I noped out at 52k. I would have taken the leap at upper-40's. Now I need to see some absolutely glowing reviews like the FL5 received before I'll commit to the car. I still like it, but it's not cheap, and some of their design decisions leave me wanting.
When the fl5 was announced, it was initially met with waves of outrage over the MSRP. Then, slowly, the narrative began to shift as more and more people began to rationalize the MSRP until the narrative was that was it was actually a bargain. It's humorous to see the exact same scenario...
I had one reserved at MSRP. Just canceled it. Bummed, but 52k is just too much IMO. Acura clearly saw the absurd prices people were paying for a ctr and took note. Can't blame them, but this just lacks too much for me to consider it a 50k+ car.
Nitpicking the fenders and seats aside, this is a beautiful looking car and I will definitely pick one up if I can get it for MSRP, and MSRP is <50k. I've called a few dealers in the Midwest. So far, only one was willing to take a deposit for an unknown ADM, and the rest I called basically knew...
Another big miss on the ITS is the lack of body-molded fenders. Having them tacked on the back really cheapens the look IMO. Between that and the significant downgrade in terms of seats, I still love the ITS (from what I can see), but it's not a slam dunk over the CTR. I would happily buy...
This was Jay Wolfe in Kansas City. I will say that the saleswoman I spoke to seemed utterly clueless about this car and very well may have given me bad information as this was all over the phone/on the spot.
Local Acura dealer told me they're expecting 2 units.. for all of '23. Midwest city, reasonably large. No idea on markup, but there will be one. Their sister Honda dealer sold their last CTR at 20k over MSRP, so I'm not holding my breath.
