Yeah honestly, I'm not really sure if it does much, and that is mostly based on stuff I read a few years ago when I bought it and the Borla catback, that basically indicated that the Bosch? ECU would compensate for most stuff done to them unless it was tuned. No idea how accurate that info...
Very different engine.
I bought the intake based on sound clips from YT videos on other CTRs, specifically for the noise as it serves no other practical purpose on a stock engine.
It's quite loud, especially at high boost.
I have a PRL intake on my FK8, and it's actually louder that some BOVs I've heard. It even squeals under load like a slightly quieter hks SS. I'll probably do the same on this car if/when available.
I think the question really is, "what even is it?" I mean, it's probably fine, but since dealers are independent franchises, some owned by huge companies...others smaller, it's impossible to tell what they're buying or where corners are being cut.
That said, I'm not competing in endurance...

One idea that bmw had in the past 10 years that wasn't overcomplicated stupidity was to use a vacuum-activated exhaust valve. My wife had that on her old X6, and a simple ziptie kept it wide open.

I don't know that I'd call it a huge profit.....my final invoice was 61.6k with just a few lines of add-ons and doc fees. $4500 in tax helps get you there pretty quick.
Most of my cars are low or lowered, so I've long made it a practice of backing in whenever possible, preferably tight to a side curb since the general CUV-driving public and their door-swinging crotchfruits are uncaring, car-damaging savages.

I got a quote from State Farm, whom we have 4 cars and house currently insured, and it was $1020/year.
I then entered it as an add on my Hagerty policy (8 cars currently), and it came back at $930/year for 60k as-stated value with no deductible glass coverage. I'm still waiting on underwriter...
Don't feel bad. Every road in this state is crumbling, the traffic is more atrocious every day because people won't stop coming here for some godforsaken reason, and the only curves within 90 minutes of here are drive thrus.

Yes, there are a few (expected) fluff charges in there. They aren't very descriptive, but it's the typical-for-in-demand-hondas floor mats, cargo liner, wheel locks, splash...

Fwiw, my dealer (Tempe, AZ) got their white demo a few weeks ago when most did I guess, then my TEP and another, plus an apex arrived this Monday. They still have one more pre-order car in transit. The initial distribution point for my car was Las Vegas, so that could be a factor since it seems...
