The dealers in the Bay Area is so annoying. We currently have 32 cars within the area but none except one dealership is selling for msrp. There are cars that have been on the lot for more then a month. I'm playing the waiting game.
Wow! Thatās unbelievable that even being the first 200 that your dealership is adding a mandatory $4k in accessories. You did the right thing sorry to hear. Whatās your next move?
In California it is a fix it ticket. Just need to mount the plate and have an officer sign off on it then paid the $15 fine. Iāve never had front plates on any of my cars in the pass 29 years and have only gotten 3 tickets. Well worth it in my opinion. And recently they passed a law and they...
Definitely a win win for you. I was at the same crossroads last Friday and decided to wait for the ITS. My scenario a little different the car was black (my 2nd choice) with $5k adm. I went through all the same exact thoughts when comparing the two. The Type R will definitely hold more value...
Your right I think I already knew what I wanted but the only way to really find out is to see the Type R in person. Ultimately I choose the ITS for the same reasons I choose a GTS over the GT4.
Thx. But I ended up passing on the deal. He didnāt budge on the price and wouldnāt give me any free accessories. The car also had some paint protection added for $700 and door edge guards plus wheel locks. So the adm essentially went to $6000. He was willing to take the equity from my trade in...
I did notice Type R prices coming down at the same time the Type S was released. It is hard to justify paying more for a Type R when the already inflated price of the Type S is the more high end or luxury brand. The CTR is black but my first choice would have been the CW.
All very good points here. Getting some free accessories would definitely make my decision so much easier. The truth is that subconsciously Iām hoping that this deal goes sour and I end up just waiting for the ITS. But either way Iām going today intending on purchasing. Thx š
I totally agree about driving a car is a whole lot better then chatting about it. After my Porsche was delivered I almost disappeared from Rennlist :D And yes, I am never selling the 4.0 I think it's the best sports car Porsche currently makes minus the NA 911's. But even those have grown...
Thanks for the tips I will definitely use that for leverage. But $5k in California is unheard of. I popped into the civic type R forums and someone in my area was super excited when he paid a $7k mark up this week and the dealership is far from the Bay Area about an hour away in the boonies...
I made a list of the pro's and con's of each car but every time I go and add things up. It comes out to be too close to call and It's a draw at this point but being able to pick up the Type R today might win it out. Let's see what happens when I arrive at the dealer they might have a bunch of...
I just got a call from local Honda dealer in California and he offered a Type R for $5k over. So $48795 vs. ITS at $51400. I've kinda gave up on the Type R and was all in on the ITS whenever my allocation calls but now I have a big decision to make. Shit!
Just no red interior for me. But I did give the SA my first 3 preferred colors. MBP/PWP/ABP. I hope to have the same luck and get that call the end of August my birthday also. š
Congrats! Canāt wait to see your new ride. I am also in California and have been tirelessly looking for an Integra Type S. This thread definitely helped a bunch and I finally found a dealer not so far out of state and Iām 4th on the list. Unfortunately they are a smaller volume dealer but was...
