You’re too old for a car once your health starts failing and you can no longer drive it in a safe manner. Otherwise I’ve never bought into the argument there’s an upper age limit on a new car purchase. If you’re concerned what others may think, keep in mind it doesn’t matter what you buy as...
These are my thoughts exactly. I couldn't push them as hard as I can thrash the living hell out of a Miata, outside of the track. Blue balls is very real. To me, 300-350hp is the absolute sweet spot for a car that isn't dedicated to track driving
Anyone who bought an M2 is going to shit on he ITS. Anyone who bought an STI or Golf R or car X is going to shit on the ITS. Anyone who can't afford the ITS is also going to shit on it. It's a tale as old as time when it comes to cars. And it definitely goes both ways.
It's partially a method...
I legitimately enjoy seeing all the reasons and justifications we come up with for our ultimate color choice. Will red be more desirable in the future because of rarity? Who knows, but it's a good enough justification for me for someone to choose it :P
You can’t put 22-30 year old cars into the equation, lol. 90s era Hondas and Acuras, and many other cars had zero for sound deadening back then. We aren’t comparing apples to apples by throwing those older cars in to the mix
The things I'd like to see Acura improve on the car are:
- power passenger seat
- more features for the digital gauge cluster, like map integration (this seems like it would largely just be a software thing, but it might also be related to a under powered head unit/control unit that simply...
I have to agree with you. Because the digital gauges don't have many features, I too would prefer to have analog gauges. It probably boils down to being a cost savings initiative and that's about it. Analogue is more complex than digital and likely costs more to build.
Acura really dropped the ball on the gauge cluster. In 2019 the Golf R was showing maps on its digital cluster which is a nice touch and was more customizable. That was 4 years ago. For a car that currently costs 3.5k USD more than a Golf R (comparing MSRP to MSRP) but doesn’t have the extra AWD...
The auto industry is very cut throat these days. There are companies that exist that take apart cars to the absolute smallest piece possible and assemble entire binders full of info for manufacturers to buy and see what the competition is doing. Every company knowingly chooses what it's...
The biggest issue to getting any sort of aftermarket seats that retain OEM functions is the overall low production numbers of this car. They're not tiny, but no company really wants to make parts for a car that will sell 10000-15000 units max. If 1 in 50 owners spends the few thousand dollars to...
I agree. The silver also seems to flow so well with the rest of the car. Red calipers, dark grey wheels, black accents...
I have a Tiger Eye on order but continue to really think about silver. What worries me is the eventual resale. It might be really good due to rarity. It also might be bad...
This is the category the majority of folks will fall into that want to take their car to the track. I think they're generally called "hot lapping" or "open lapping" events and not autocross.
My understanding is autocross is tightly regulated to keep things within competitive closeness as far as...
