Go with the Ohlins. You’d be pressed to find a better alternative if your main focus is motorsports. I anticipate the HRC offerings will be of the same level of quality but significantly more expensive.
I would start with a downpipe and exhaust. If you want to replicate the pops and bangs of the type s then get a tune.
Aside from the increase in volume, they will never sound the same. Two entirely different engines; you’re at a hardware disadvantage.
Planning to join next time!
The last 2 Saturday’s of October look good for me right now. Should have really nice fall colors by then and hopefully reasonable weather.
The outside of the car never even crossed my mind. My dumbass was thinking how you would go about PPF on the interior lol.
I have to quit the social media before coffee…
I second the OEM rear seat cover. Does the job well and is a nice wet-suit like material.
My OEM rear seat cover came with inserts to cover the door. Your’s didn’t?
Does it produce a similar noise when pulling the wheel towards and away from you? That would leave me to believe the wheel is torqued or something is loose on the rack.
The former is an easy (but concerning) fix. The latter, as mentioned above, take it to the dealer.
Yet, AWE claims their 180-technology produces equal results as a valved system…
I’m curious, what have you seen to be the best selling exhaust for the DE5?
The hybrid racing option is a true short shifter which will give you complete flexibility of shift knob height and location. It also removes pretty much all play as every component is rigid.
To put it simply, the acuity offering is OEM+ whereas hybrid racing is a complete OEM replacement.
There is functionwerk. I’ve only seen a few Instagram videos here and there but nothing to give me a good sense of where this lies against competitors.
My buddy has a remark on his FL5 which sounds really good. I would put it as a direct competitor to the AWE touring. I’d love to see remark...
An off-the-shelf tune will be your best bet. If you’re looking for more then start installing supporting mods (e.g., downpipe, front pipe, charge pipes, intercooler, flex fuel kit, etc.) and get a custom tune.
We all appreciate you and the effort that goes into this.
If I could provide one recommendation, I suggest organizing this data on the first post in the thread kind of like a table of contents. It will help you not having to repeat yourself 1,000 times over.
