Got a big one that was really stuck in there the other day. The usual reverse and wobbling didn’t do the trick to get it out. Screeched for a good 20 miles before it finally worked its way out.
Has anyone found an easy/quick way to pull that shield back to let the rocks fall out? I haven’t...
Yeah I'm wondering how much of a problem it would be if you completely removed them or even just added a spacer to give rocks a bit more room to fall out instead of getting stuck. I assume removing them completely, you would just end up with brake dust all over the place :/
Damn, I was really hoping switching to all seasons would help.
I wonder if there's any way to manipulate the brake shield or if Acura will come up with a new design for future models that we could swap out. Or even an aftermarket solution. This is gonna drive me crazy if it keeps happening so...
Yep, the first time it ever happened to me it was legitimately ear piercingly loud and I thought the car was done for. I didn't have cell service so drove it maybe half a mile up the road to call for a tow and it disappeared. Since then it's happened another 10 or 11 times but never as loud as...
Sadly, this was all I got from Jonathan Rivers:
I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed that somebody figures out a way or Acura changes their mind and adds some cooler gauges down the road.
I agree they dropped the ball on the gauges but no reason for me not to stay hopeful that somebody will figure out a way eventually :) if not, it's no big deal. The gauges and the seats are the only things I would ever want to change about this car. Well...besides a coupe version :p
Sounds like he's waiting for the type R wheel to come in so he can actually change the settings. Not sure if he'll be able to access the different gauge clusters from the wheel though...
Either way, this gives me hope that there's a path to getting the +R gauges in an ITS eventually. I asked...
I've had this awful screeching noise happen at least 10 times in the 2 months I've had the car. I'm still not convinced it's a rock getting stuck that's causing the noise but my dealership hasn't been able to find anything that could be the culprit.
I've tried to get it on video but I haven't...
This is what I'm considering doing. I'm also gonna switch out the PS4S's for some all seasons soon and I'm hoping that will help a bit as well since they're not as sticky.
If neither of those help I'm just gonna have to get used to it. Definitely don't want to go with skinnier tires. I just...
I’ve noticed the noise from gravel and salt on the roads getting thrown up into the wheel wells is pretty loud in this car. Does anyone know of a solution to dampen it? I know it’s a small complaint but it’s driving me crazy XD especially in the winter with salt everywhere
Yeah, is it theoretically possible with a software tweak or is it limited by the hardware? It'd be cool to have them go red in sport+ mode at the very least
Has anyone heard about build dates for white/black? My dealership finally got word mine is coming in but no specific dates yet. He said it should be in by the end of the month but could get pushed back a month. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything specific.
Blue/black is my second choice and I kinda regret not making it my first choice, the blue is gorgeous. I’m apparently first on the list for white/black but I appreciate it. I’ll let you know if a blue/black happens to fall my way lol
got the same call for the black/black last week lol. My salesman is confident they will get a white/black by the end of the year and I have no idea why he’s so confident. I’m fully convinced all the good color combinations will go to bigger dealers with markups
This is what I'm not sure about with my dealership. They do "reservations" by color combination so I put a refundable deposit down for a white/black. I'm first on the list so if/as soon as a white/black comes in, it's supposed to be mine. But it seems like other dealerships did allocations very...
