I also run the DWS06 Plus all-seasons and had zero issue here in Chicago last Winter. I did not take the car out in heavy snow, but cold and wet performance was good. Of course, I didn't flog the car in the wet, but cold, dry performance was nice.
Update for everyone. Just came back from dealership and noise is gone. Went on test drive with tech, he heard it, wasn't sure what it was, but they took the wheel off, blew on some stuff, checked for anything loose or damaged, and gave it back to me. Tested it out and it's like it never...
I admit I can't really tell the fake vs real sounds. Guess I have to listen harder with my windows down. Seems silly for Acura to build this into the car, add cost , etc. if it isn't needed.
Yep, it's at the limit of turn. Between a ball/cv or tie rod, or loose sway bar those are the top potential causes so far. Hoping it's just a pebble stuck somewhere it doesn't belong. Given the car is about a year old and seen some autox time, a bolt tightening or two seems likely.
Interesting idea... not sure. I'm hearing the sound going at a constant slow speed in a circle with wheel turned right all the way to lock. If there were any brake pad shifting I think it would happen at varying speed.
Thanks - yep, checked/tighted lugs. They were fine. Don't have a way to lift it other than my jack. Will likely just take to dealer who's closeby. Will report back.
Well, I discovered the same thing happening on my ITS about a week ago, listened again, and I have exactly the intermitent click sound in the left wheel area. Regular interval, soft click, not felt in steering column. Happens only at full lock wheel turn to the right. Doesn't get louder or more...
Welcome! Your experience is similar to mine in that I didn't know the Type S was coming out, saw it in a news story, then took a chance to see if my dealer had one and would let me test drive it. They sure did, and I fell in love immediately! So impressed with what it could do, how it felt, and...
Nice job diagnosing and fixing... at least a motor mount is farily straightforward to address.... despite the issues with your dealer/Honda. You've done the community a service!
Alvin - I got into my ITS in August and won't ever go back. I came from a 2020 C8 Stingray, but have been driving manuals for decades, big V8 power and turbo 4s. My kids drive little Honda Fits and I got to drive those and really appreaciated the just simple fun and tossability of the things...
Seems like radar is the theme... I run a Escort 360 Redline and Waze and have been fortunate. There have been a few times I could have gotten pinched but didn't. Knock on wood.
Appreciate the response... yeah, I'm scratching my head on it too. I have two hypotheses on this: either the guys at the shop had some extra laying around the shop and they wanted me to have them, or they were left in the car somewhere by the dealer for whatever reason... maybe they took the...
Had my car washed this weekend -- very reputable and professional place I've been going to for years -- and I found a number of clips put into my cup holder I hadn't seen before. It was already past open hours so thought I'd post here first to get opinions. The attached pic is of a hood...
Got mine on, and of course Chicago is now unseasonably warm. Have to admit though, I think I like how the +45 offset looks and fills out the fender. But have to go back to OEM to get the optimal scrub radius. Decided on Flow One F5s and Conti DWS06 all-seasons. They handle really well and I'm...
I most definitely like the exclusivity. I don't get much attention from other non-Type S Integras, or at least none that I've noticed. I haven't waved yet... will have to do that. I came from a C8 and regularly did the Corvette Wave to all the various years of Vettes I saw. I most definitely...
