I went catless on my last car and I'll never do that again, wasn't worth it. Hated the smell and I felt like a shithead. I ended up adding a cat in the midpipe just to have some sort of cat in the system, it worked ok.
For me, 27WON offers more data and measurements for their piece than anyone...
Would this potentially interfere with certain aftermarket intakes? Acuity site doesn’t mention.
This mod makes a lot of sense to me, and I’m considering getting it. However, I haven’t selected an intake and don’t want to run into problems.
I figure the only reason Honda designed it the way they...
I only see Murray brand stuff on eBay,...
Turbosmart makes a similarly designed clamp. Looks like the diesel goons use them, places like everythingtruckparts.com & swagperformanceparts.com have them. That the coal roll boyz are into this style of clamp probably means they do a good job holding...
They have a carbon TIP as well. I personally love the matte carbon look. Was thinking about getting this combo.
I do think that, especially at these prices, the $0.02 worm gear clamps are cheap looking. They should provide something nicer than that… Anyone know of better clamps I could source...
Poked around here and the civicxi Type-R forums and didn't see a comprehensive downpipe thread. Thought we could use one. Mostly selfish as I want the community to aid my research as I shop for one :p.
What I've rustled up so far is in the table below. All info and pricing is from the...
I had a 2017 VW GTI that was pretty heavily modified. I miss it a little bit actually...
I had a custom exhaust (aka frankenstein combo of various brands and some garage welding, :-P) Catless downpipe, put a cat in the forward section of the midpipe instead, hot enough to actually work but far...
Thanks all. I'm shopping for an intake (and maybe exhaust) that provides a bit more volume but not too obnoxious. I want some more silly noises to satisfy my inner teenager, but I made my last car too loud and I'm a bit gun-shy...
This sounds great (and definitely one of the better-looking intakes, IMO) but seems like the loudest intake I've heard. I know that videos are hard to tell actual volume, though. I assume this was recorded with windows open? Is the volume exaggerated in the video?
Edit: just saw that mic was...
This made me spit, lmao.
I very seriously shopped the 718 Cayman for a while before going with the ITS. Just needed more practicality.
I hadn't really thought of resale value when looking at all. Makes it harder, actually because the used model prices aren't too distant from the comparable new...
