Okay I just checked and itās on the second page of this thread, (post #22) I had engine over speed condition and the ecu throws it into limp mode to prevent any damage, hopefully you can resolve the issue!
All I did was delete pending codes that I had, I think I posted it on this thread, Iāll check and get back to you. Also I used a high end scanner not just an āoff the shelf autoZoneā scanner, do you have one or a friend that has an expensive OBD2 scanner by any chance?
I have my own shop thatās why I have this scanner, but Iām sure a less expensive one would do the trick! The really cheap ones probably wonāt, Iām talking about those <$20 scanners>
just to clear the confusion, the code that was causing the lack of pops and crackles was
P0219
the misfire codes were caused by the limp mode which makes the ignition timing retard while I was pushing the car pretty hard
Yeah it shows every code that was ever presented, I took my car to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and lowered the tire pressure for more traction, also i remember exactly when the car went to limp mode
so basically I did the peddle dance, and on my 3rd run I sent the car tooo hard and some...
+update! I solved the issue!
I plugged in a high end OBDII scanner, and I found the issue, it went into a limp mode but there was no warning lights I attached a picture for you guys, hope that helps! I just cleared the codes and back to normal, pop pop pop š„š
The valve is working fine you can hear the sound change when you put it in comfort mode and sport+ you can actually see it too so I know the valve isn't the issue. I think itās some tuning related problem maybe some sort of limp mode but thereās no warning lights, my vacuum sits at -9.3 @idle...
Iām glad your issue was resolved, luckily I never got a CEL but on the downside it makes it hard to diagnose the problem. Do you think the OBDII scanner from the dealer are just the expensive Snap on/Matco scanners? I have access to a few of those expensive scanners
Bro I even called Acura support and they couldnāt give me a answer, they just said to take it to the dealer. Let me know if you find a solution to it, Iāll do the same if I end up getting a solution. š¤
Thanks for the reply guys, I tried looking online but without any luck. Iāll look again. I have no warning lights, which makes it difficult to diagnose. Iāll keep trying to look for answers idk if this is related to it but I went to the speedway for some spirited driving and deactivated my VDC...
Yeah I even drive the car long distances for the exhaust to warm up, not sure why this happened :/ drivability is still the same I just miss the sound lol
