UPDATE: I received these new knob covers yesterday and I like them. They accomplished what I wanted to do and helped tone down those shiny silver stock knobs that look somewhat cheap, actually.
So the red ones were really tacky, but, these are what I really wanted the first time I started thinking about replacing them with Accord knobs. And cheaper. I can tell you from having the red knobs, they have a nice tactile feel to them. I think I'll give these a try.
I'll be looking forward to that update with pics, please! I "thought" you could just pull the knobs off and replace them. Do we actually have to remove the whole center console piece?
Are the black ones you are referring to Honda or Acura? I'd love to know. The more I look at the stock, shiny silver knobs, the more I want them replaced. I don't see why I couldn't simply take them off, spray them with a more attractive color?
I like that idea. The black would look nice, the silver ones are a bit too "bright" as are the red ones I have now disposed of! The knobs would look great in a subdued flat metallic gray, almost like the exterior color.
I really appreciate the honest feedback, it validates my train of thought insofar as sticking to the stock pieces. I'm an old guy, don't want to make my car look like a kid's ride! LOL
Found these on Amazon to go inside my '24 A-Spec Tech in Performance Red / Orch. interior. Adds some "accent" to the interior, but I'm thinking just going back to the stock ones. WHat do you guys think?
