I wonder if the ELS system was limited in some other ways due to the reliance on the Civic infotainment.
I was hoping that Daily Motor would do a video review of the Integra ELS system as I find their audio reviews very reliable. They did mention in the comments of their recent CX-5 audio...
Car and Driver updated their review with test data. They measured 71db of road noise at 70mph which would be the noisiest of the compact sedans.

It would seem that the Integra is much more compliant when going over road imperfections, but Car And Driver mentioned that there is a quite a bit of road noise on the highway.
actually sound deadening capability is directly related to the weight. There is no magic solution around this. The NVH matching the Civic would not be a surprise considering how much has carried over from the Civic.
The Civic Hatchback Sport Touring CVT in Canada is the closest spec wise and weighs 3113lbs, so the Integra gains only 35lbs with the additional features and the additional length of the vehicle. That basically confirms that no additional sound deadening was added and the NVH would be the same...
Moving Hatchback production from the UK to the US was suppose to make the Hatchback pricing more competitive. Unfortunately it has had the opposite impact. Of course who could have predicted Brexit, Ukraine and the pandemic with the impact on exchange rates.
Do we know if the NVH has improved much over the Civic SI ? I know the Civic Hatchback was generally noisier than the Sedan so the Integra need to overcome that first since the SI is a Sedan. The ILX wasn’t much of an improvement over the older Civic when it comes to noise. Considering how...
The problem in Canada is that the Civic Hatch is already $3k over a similarly equipped Civic sedan. So that $3k hatch premium is on top of the Acura premium plus any additional features. Honda/Acura Canada dug a hole too deep for any reasonable price comparison with the SI.
I also want a good...
I thought I'd check Canada specs in case we got a base manual, but unfortunately we did not. I did see some additional options for Canada. We got Keyless Remote Engine Start and Front Heated Steering Wheel on all trims. Canada also got Heated Rear Seats with the Elite A-Spec Package.
I was hoping the base would offer manual. There is no chance I will be paying that much for a manual Integra. I still have some nostalgia from my '90 Integra that I owned for 9 years and put 290k km on. It was my first new car but time to move on now.
Center speakers are great for movies but not needed for properly design audio systems. The problem is that most 8 speakers systems have the midrange/bass stuck at the bottom of the door and you need the center speaker to bring up the sound in front of you. Mazda is the only mainstream brand...
It looks like Acura is now allowing people to take photos of the interior with the dash covered. Maybe the dash is not finalized.

I am interested in seeing if the Integra significantly improves the NVH over the Touring hatchback. This the one area where the Civic Touring trails other Hatchbacks and I am hoping that the Integra provides an upgrade in this area.
I was just thinking about that today. I wonder if the snow this winter in parts of the US are going to push AWD even further to the mainstream. I have co-workers in SC who have also been impacted by lots of snow and colder weather.
Here in Canada I still see lots of Civics on dealers lots...
Carscoops was able to get higher resolution images and you can see a bit more detail.
