Since I am on many email subscriptions from Acura dealers. I just started getting emails with offers of $7K off MSRP on brand new MDX type S models. Bet this a early indication where we are heading toward.
When I was looking at the Integra colors in dealer lot, I have to admit I saw excessive panel, color matching, trim, roof alignments, and other paint issues. This included TLX models also. Maybe acceptable for sub 25k cars, but 50k+?
Anyways, anyone know the NDA is lifted for the initial...
One of the dealers I was working with said that Acura will be adding at lot of accessories themselves at port before the hits the the dealer.
This similar to what is happening with gr corolla, toyota is adding mandatory accessories at port, about 500-1000 in additional cost.
I agree with you. It's dyno'ed at 230hp, but light ecu tune to get 20-30 more hp. Would be perfect for its fwd limits. Should hit 0-60 in 6 sec which is acceptable for street driving. No, please don't try to race in it.
Do you really need 320hp for commuting? Are you really going to...
No thanks. Can't stomach $52K for FWD car with minimal luxury features. These will be going for $45K in 1-2 years with discounts.
Glad I cancelled my #1 spot when dealer changed deposit to nonrefundable.
Back to hunting down a Type R.
Not looking forward to around $900 monthly payments either.
My ideal situation is to have a sports car for weekends and electric for daily duty.
ITS would kind of do both, but doesnt it contradict people asking for more sound insulation while wanting more connection with the driving...
Yep, 3 dealers told me that they are required to keep the 1st ITS for 30 days as a full demo before selling as brand new to sucker (aka customer)
Expect stupid port installed options, ( these are from Acura not the dealer). This is occurring with the GR Corolla.
Not 100% sure about that.
I have been following GR Corolla roll out and Toyota has been adding about $1.5K in Port installed accessories that buyers have to accept in the purchase. Things like upgraded shifter, roof rake, floor mats, or trunk organized.
Feels like the initial buyers are...
Acura of Auburn:
- MSRP
- allocation will be 1 White/Red, 1 rest of the year
- 8K in accessories (required by Acura, they say)
- will be 30 days demo car to drive by potential customers (required by Acura)
Wow, where do I NOT sign up!
Down to these:
White with red interior
Liquid Carbon with red interior
waiting for real pictures of the LCM before deciding.
for the red interior, some questions/observations:
- how well will it age? has fading been issue in the past ?
- think that red trim piece going from stick shifter to...
their responds
"I understand but it will be physical check. Company policy! Have a nice Spring! "
guess give it couple days and if no check shows up, call the CC. deposit was made OCT 2022.
Update.
I messaged the sales rep all my concerns and insisted if they still try to enforce a nonrefundable policy, then to refund me my deposit.
Their responds: " Refund being mailed back. "
Guess I expected more from a luxury brand name dealership.
On the flip side, got a lead for Type R...
Hmm. My dealer just informed me they are placing their order on Monday and I need to choose top 2 color combos. My refundable deposit also becomes non refundable as well on Monday, which kind of irrates me since all the specs, pics of all colors, production projections, nor msrp info is...
