Deposits at multiple dealers

Has anyone ever put a vehicle deposit at more than one dealership?

wasting time, worthwhile or ?

I have a deposit at 2 dealers. One has the allocation and one does not. The dealer that does not have one coming in the color I want is the original dealer I put my deposit down at but I found one in another state that does have the exact set up I want so I put a deposit on it to hold it. It should be arriving at the dealership in early April. I decided to keep my deposit at the original dealership until I take delivery in case things don't go right and I can back out and still be on the waitlist for one locally.

I don't see why not, if you can do it as long as they're both refundable so you can get your money back.

I also put deposits down at two dealerships. The first for a TRD off-road non-hybrid, before the hybrids came out, and the second for a trailhunter. But yesterday found a TRD off-road premium hybrid for $900 off MSRP. And put a deposit on that one today. Should be at the dealership within a week.

I have two deposits at dealers as well. One has a TRD Pro coming and one has a Trailhunter coming. Not sure which I want.
