Absolutely agree, the FL5 cluster doesnt really provide any additional functionality, everything is kind of just "nice to have", I also shift by ear and LOVE the HUD.

The S2K style gauge is awesome, im guessin Honda reserved it's use for the FL5 given that the S2K was a "Honda" product, and Acura was probably tasked with finding their own iconic vehicle to source their own gauge ergo "ITR" (at least in North America).

I'd rather they port over something similar to LogR for ITS owners.
It would be, at the very least, nice to have some sort of oil temp gauge.
An RPM counter in the HUD and id never look at the dash lmao
RPM / MPH on the HUD with just accessory info (oil / coolant temp, boost pressure, G's, etc.) on the dash 😎

Type S in the house!
I wonder if we will lose settings like the HUD option menu.

So you need both the CTR radio and CTR speedometer to gain the +R display in the ITS. I tired just the CTR cluster and it does not give you access to the +R screen without the CTR radio.

Datalogging still doesn’t work and I’m not getting readout on the infotainment screen for anything other than outside temp. Open to ideas from this group to make that function work.

Here’s what we lose in the ITS to gain arguably the best cluster/display Honda has ever offered:

1) HUD
2) roof speakers
3)ELS processing
4) TPMS monitoring
5) Sport+ mode

Individual mode does work correctly and can be configured for the drivers preference. However that function is now realized by clicking up twice on the dynamic mode in the ITS.

The individual mode button no longer functions. That is due to the CTRs +R button is replaced with the Individual setting button on the center console bezel.

I confirmed this in the CTR as that button no longer functions with the type s display and CTR radio when installed into the CTR.

Overall impression- the loss of ITS functions outlined above is absolutely outweighed by the CTR cluster and the addition of incredibly important functions that these gauges bring to the ITS. The addition of the s2000 RPM gauge with gear selection front and center- the largest displayed items on this cluster- enhances an already incredible ITS driver experience.

Add to this the necessary temperatures and status of vital engine components, connects the driver to the car, filling the holes Acura left with the rebirth of the legendary Integra- making this worthy of the Type S branding.
So does hitting the "Individual Mode" button put the car in "Sport +" / "+R" (i.e. Sport+ exhaust, steering, dampers)?

Congratulations on your success, however you have just driven up the price of those two items for the rest of us :(

Individual mode does nothing at this point. Seems it’s reverting to the inherent CTR functions in which the individual mode is +R mode. So you get Individual mode by pressing up twice on the dynamic mode button.
Right. I was questioning your statement re: no more Sport +.

+R is Sport +, right? It says +R on the dash, but it's identical re: vehicle settings to Sport + (dampers, exhaust, etc.)

You can order them from any wholesale dealer. I posted the part #s earlier in the thread.
Correct. You’ll need both the cluster and radio brain to make this work.

It’s actually in individual mode which I was able to set to have the +R gauge and my selected dynamic settings. In the CTR pushing up twice on that button goes to individual mode. This section is confirmed on the infotainment screen when going into that mode.

Randy posted the cons:
You lose these on top of the price

1) HUD
2) roof speakers
3)ELS processing
4) TPMS monitoring
5) Sport+ mode

I have no dog in the fight... but the cost of parts + trouble of labor along with those losses seems pretty steep to gain only the +R display... but not my money.

Why isn't this just a software thing? 🤔 The gauge cluster is just a display screen, right?
