the idle engine off works perfect when using switch by shifter, but when when i go into display , into settings and turn idle engine to off it doesn't make a difference , engine still shuts off at stops . Anyone else get it to work so you don't need to use switch every time you start car?

The function in the settings only works with the Individual mode. In normal mode - what the car defaults to at every restart - auto idle stop is almost always enabled. If you don't like it, you are going to have to push a button - either the cancel one, the Individual mode, or toggle to Sport mode, where it's disabled by default.

In Normal mode there are conditions where the ECU will disable it: Before the car is fully warmed, if it senses the battery is lower than it should be, or if you have the A/C enabled and the temperature set at either LO or HI (If you don't see A/C OFF just to the left of the right side temperature display, the A/C is on. There might be others; it may not be enabled with the front defrost selected, but I haven't used that long enough to allow the car to warm to find out.

when it was warm outside it worked just fine ( unless a/c was on ) since it started getting colder, not working as much,
even with the temp set lower & no defrost on, when it's real cold like it has been, it will not function, must be a cold battery
thing ?,

I noticed the same thing. It usually starts working around the time I get 4 bars on the temperature gauge, but the colder it is outside the longer it takes to activate. I've also noticed that at some of the longer lights around here, even if it is active the engine will fire at some point without me doing anything.
