Was changing the oil and a nut fell when I removed the tray, pictured below. This got me looking all around and when I looked from above behind the motor between the firewall I saw these 2 holes facing up which look like to be part of the steering controls, I really have no idea I just wanted to know if this is normal. Nothing I’ve ever seen before. Wondering if anybody else could take a look at their own type S. Thanks

I actually noticed this on my pickup trucks transmission a few years back, it also has a few empty threaded holes.

I just looked at my ITS, mine looks the same as yours, I guess normal as well.

Thanks for looking. Wondering if they were holes for manufacturing, who knows.
