Will changing the exhaust remove the ability to close the exhaust in comfort mode?

The valve is located next to the mufflers at the back of the car- if you replace that section you would lose that feature

Do you think aftermarket exhausts would recreate the feature?

There are a handful of electronic-valved aftermarket exhausts (like for the CTR, for example), but the one I see most often has a valve that's controlled via remote rather than drive mode.

In any case, if you decide to take off that OEM exhaust... let me know!
