Living in Michigan we get some decent winters, but recent years haven't been nearly as bad and most really abd days everything kind of halts to a stop anyway with work. I have the ability to borrow a 4 wheel drive vehicle in absolute worst cases, so I am curious if I should consider getting 18s with a thinner tire for nearly $2K, or get 265/30R/19 All seasons (DSW06s) or Winter tires (Alpina A5). Ideally I wouldn't mind saving money since I can always catch a ride or borrow a vehicle. Just looking for some advice.
The DSW06s have great reviews and come in at about half the price of the DSW06s and being conscious of what I spend I want to make the best choice for my situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
