Does it add any noticeable power along with the whoosh noises? I was thinking about getting this since its what Spoon uses for its filters.

Edit: do you have any other intake mods like that PRL resonator delete?

I think I'm going to go this route as well. I have the Sprint race version filter in there now, but starting to get paranoid running it all the time. Or just use OEM until the HVI intake comes out Jan/Feb.

Yeah, same, the openings are around 80 microns which would let hair and dust into the engine. That's my big concern.

Is the race one like 300 bucks? I should be fine running this one right?

Definitely fine with the one you have & yes the race one is crazy high priced at 300 bucks for what it is.

I would not have bought this if something better is coming out in a few months. Didn’t know.

Well it is a full intake system, if that's the route you want to go over a filter. There's a few good ones out already also like the Pipercross from Dreamworks. PRL I believe already has an intake as well, but they are coming out with a High Volume Intake that will pair specifically with their turbo inlet pipe that their current one does not. The inlet pipe will fit either to the stock box or their HVI setup. Jonah at PRL said within the first 1-2 months of 2024.

Is this for the ITS or for the CTR but fits. I just don’t want to do anything that would jeopardize the warranty.

I’d like to know how much (filtering) these see thru filters actually do. I think it’s like having no filter except for leaves or other pieces of big debris they won’t let thru.

It's for both models, same fitment. It's very close to oem structure.

Sometimes it depends on your dealer. Even with a tune you can flash back to stock calibration before taking it in & they can't see anything electronically after a DTC clearing. I've read if someone uses a turbo blanket (like I will be this week) to remove those as well before taking it for issues. But just a few simple bolt ons shouldn't be an issue. The intake is also very easy to swap back before taking to the dealer so if you're even somewhat handy, I wouldn't be too concerned about that. If I was concerned enough about issues I would just tow it to my house, swap oem pets back on & flash to stock, then take it in.

Does PRL publish specs for their filters? I wouldn't be surprised if they're not much better than the Sprint ones (in terms of filtration).

And they have a research paper done on their filters

I'll probably stick to OEM. I don't need tiny dust falling into my engine just for whoosh noises.

Edit: my bad, I though you wanted Spoon/Sprint specs.
