That's interesting. In our CVT Civic Hatch Sport, while on the highway the D rpm and the 7th gear (S) rpms are identical. Only regular "S" has a higher rpm and worse MPG's. Now I'm curious why there is a different between your simulated gear ratios and mine.
My coworker is at 3 months and counting for a regular Corolla SE. Good luck getting a GR. I guess the same can be said for a number of vehicles though. Hybrids especially. I've heard 18 months for some hyundai hybrids.
Back on topic, that white ITS rendered above is freaking amazing...
Turn on your car and keep it in park. Turn your headlights to Auto, then pull back the stalk and hold the brights on for 45 seconds until you see the headlight with an "A" flash on the dash. This will reset your auto lights system and auto brights should work thereafter. Let me know if it...
I've narrowed down my next car: The Type S or an Elantra N. (I'm passing on the Type R for now...) Really looking forward to upcoming ITS reveal(s)!!! Thanks!!
Man I'm loving your car. I honestly liked your sound better with just a resonator delete. Now it sounds more like a simple muffler delete. I deleted my civic 1.5t resonator as well and it doesn't sound as good as yours did. Anyway, sweet ride!!! Keep on keeping on. And post more pics along the...
Thanks for breaking it down for me. If the car market stays nuts for another 3 years, you'll be able to do what current leasers are doing.... Buying your car for 21k and selling it for 30k!!! Enjoy.
Congrats!!! I'm assuming you leased the acura? I'm a leasing newb, so simply hearing your monthly payment doesn't give an accurate feel for how good of a deal you got, or whether acura screwed you w/ a numbers game?? Do you have those numbers - or care to share?
Regardless, beautiful...
I took my tuned civic hatch out for some runs the other day to see how it compares. Like you, I was right around 4.0, maybe 4.1 in 4th gear. I found 3rd gear to be significantly quicker, in the 3.4-3.5s ballpark. No surprise there as my boost pressure maxes out between 4.5k-6k which is the...
I slowed down the footage and timed all your runs. If the speedo is accurate (and I know that's a big IF) then all 3 runs that you posted were almost identical. In fact, the first run supposedly in comfort was actually the quickest. 🤷♂️
Very nice! As I was looking at the pics, I kept thinking there HAD to be spacers installed. Sure enough, I finally read all your post. Looks great!!!:love::love:
I don't have a Teg, but I did replace my Civic shifter wtih a Type R 2020 shift assembly. Based on your video, mine is a lot like yours. Notchy and direct, but certainly not buttery smooth. It requires decent effort to go into any gear. A weighted shift knob (>1 pound) helps but it also...
