that is pretty wildā€¦ I wonder what warranty claim would be related to a specific brake fluid. As long as you use a dot three or dot four it seems like there should never be a problem. Granted if you flush the brakes yourself and introduce a bunch of air and cause problems, that seems like that...
  2. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? šŸ™‹šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

Put in some FL5 wheels. I like em! TPMS warning might get the old electrical tape treatment tho šŸ˜‚ sorry for the crappy distracting background

little more for instructor ā€¦ but I think you can do a single day too (which can be as much seat time as a 2 day event with many other groups). overall good group to run with although none are perfect. Everyone Iā€™ve ever done events with has had some high HP cars holding everyone up at some...

chin is a little pricey ā€¦ they have some strict rules for moving up in run groups which can be annoying sometimes but also not all bad. you get a LOT of track time with them. Each day has numerous 30-40 min sesssions and then a 60 min session at the end of the day with all run groups mixed in...

Iā€™m like 7h away. Pretty long haul but worth it and I meet some friends there from a couple east coast spots so itā€™s a lot of fun! Great track! Iā€™ll have to check out track dazeā€¦ this one is with Chin.
  6. Catching under the front lip

I had to make custom wood ramps for my driveway to prevent having to redo my drivewayā€¦ that was for a Porsche GT4 that was quite low. The ITS catches that same spot and Iā€™ve just been slowly shaving it down :) sounds bad but donā€™t really care.

traded my ITS for the Z06 but then missed the ITS too much so traded my Sierra 2500 for another ITS lol. Z06 is a red mist over black interior 3LZ with front axle lift. No aero or CCBs. Wouldā€™ve preferred Z07 but didnā€™t want to pass up this allocation. Going to VIR in like 10 days. Canā€™t wait!

Iā€™ve heard different rationale. Easier extrication if youā€™re in an accident, giving pointbys is easier, better visibility esp if windows are tinted (some of the workers are trained to look for properly attached helmet chin straps, if they see it hanging loose they might call you in, harder to...
  9. Sticky/Jerky Steering issue

This should be a sticky. Pun intended. Glad you got your car sorted! I have a friend with an FL5 who is having the issue as well.

good choice. and then spend as much as you see fitā€¦ remember, the $$$ goes up most for features and gadgets, not safety. I think greggg has a point that you shouldnā€™t get a helmet that doesnā€™t offer full safety ratings. also, I recommend a full face with visor to prevent catching a rock or...

some places have a food snacks spread, some donā€™t. Best not to assume and sometimes itā€™s a hassle depending on where youā€™re parked. 4 sessions is a good first event. Pace car tells me they probably cater to newer drivers which is a good place to start. Brake fluid should be fine based on...

agree with playing with settings. Nannies can save you if you make a mistake, but can also cause excessive heat (and therefore wear) in the brakes/tires and cause some pulled power on corner exit as well as unpredictability. With a new car/track I like leaving more of the Nannieā€™s on and...

Can you rent a helmet? If you decide the hobby isnā€™t for you, you can save some money. Otherwise, I would just you to a site like saferacer and pick the helmet you like. if you have a local shop where you can try them on thatā€™s even better. safety standards are the same from $300-6000...
  14. ITS into something more practical…?

Carvana offered $44k. So 3 offers on trade near Dayton Ohio and Carvana: $44k, $45k and $47k Someone may find that helpful.
  15. HUGE disappointment today..

3 months is a long time.. I hope it gets resolved quickly for ya!
  16. ITS into something more practical…?

Landing on a ITS isnā€™t a bad spot. Although u did like the cars Iā€™ve had, they still were flawed. Including thr M3CS I had which was an absolute beast. It couldā€™ve been my last car ever .. functional, fast, best seats Iā€™ve had (better than GT4 buckets imo) but I think I have more fun in the...
  17. ITS into something more practical…?

No doubt there can be an addiction element to car trading ā€¦ the transaction for sure could be considered similar to a high/rush. It can be something that is part of the hobby though too. Trying to find a perfect car is a fools errand, but sampling cars for modest losses isnā€™t super crazy...
  18. ITS into something more practical…?

Yeah - I think we may have a similar approach to this. Iā€™m on my 2nd ITS, had 2 Civic Sis, a GR86, 2 Sierra 2500s, 2 Yukon AT4s (kept one), 718 GT4 and C8 Z06 in past 2ish years. The real enablers for me have been the dealers. I get tax credit so very little penalty for trading out (I have...

Go take a photo of yourself by a pcar in a parking lot and tell them itā€™s youā€™re lol. Iā€™ve done PCA HPDE but i donā€™t *think* I was ever a PCA member. May vary by region. Iā€™ve found PCA HPDE to be generally laid back and fun/respectful group .. BMWCCA, Chin, HOD are some other good ones tho...
  20. ITS into something more practical…?

Id have to look at the Lexus ā€¦ havenā€™t driven one ever. The infotainment has always turned me off a little but it might be worth another look. I really disliked the system in the GR86 I had. Iā€™m also definitely not ready for a Tesla yet.. maybe an Audi etron if anything! Seems like tech...
