The harnesses to the mirror are not the same, and that’s the entire point I’ve been making.
The internal harness inside the mirror shell may very well be identical for manufacturing efficiency — I never argued otherwise. What I’m talking about is the vehicle‑side harness and the power...
You’re right about the grounding and the existing fuse protection — I’m not arguing that the wiring is unsafe. My remaining concern isn’t about safety at all, but about whether the Homelink module is getting the power environment it was designed for.
The Accord Homelink mirror isn’t just the...
I would argue the best way is to use the harness vs. modifying the harness. Not only does it properly ground the mirror and ensure all power connections and thresholds are correct, it adds a separate fuse for additional protection to the car should something go wrong with the mirror.
TBCH, I use optical over RCA when I can with my home theatre, but that really depends on your target price point and the volume of sales you expect. I'd suggest doing a survey to gauge interest as well as preference.
I have the right hardware and software, but I'm far from skilled at designing things in Blender. Also, not having the measurements for where the amp mounts or the measurements for the mounting points on your case it pretty much precludes me from even attempting to make something.
I do wonder if the daughter board approach results in any hot spots which may be problematic or are you using the encloser as a means of managing heat build-up.
Someone w/ 3D modeling skills could probably design some mounts, vs zip ties, that could be 3D printed for those who prefer a more...
As some have pointed out here. Acura/Honda has made some seemingly bonkers product decisions over the years, most recently holding out on EV until it could not longer ignore it, and against dealer's strong dismay, only to then pullback on EV due to the new administration and at the same time as...
Ending it seems odd when they just announced exporting the DE5 to Japan. Could they possibly end the DE4 versions while keeping the DE5 for at least another year?
Lol, right?! I don't buy their excuse that it's b/c it's a sports car...umm...does that mean a VW Taos is a sports car too since it also lacks memory features and has a manually adjustable front passenger's side seat?
Ok, these are the parts that I ordered,
These parts I got from JDM Yamato, the specified "Part #" matches to diagram numbers (https://jdmyamato.com/products/nhp001628?variant=43000102617336)
Part #8 - 83405-T43-J31ZA - Armrest ASSY., Console *R183L* (R183L Thread Red)
Part #26 -...
If you decide not to deal w/ the A-Pillar and extra harness, I don't believe you need to go so far as to cut out plugs, soldering, or the like. You could just jumper the wires like they show here:

I'm probably one of maybe a few who completed this mod w/o buying the full rear a/c kit sold by mikstore...though I was able to get them to sell me just the splitter since that's not something you can just buy w/o buying a full heater core. So, if you want to know all of the Honda original parts...
That's just pure and utter carelessness and ultimately a bit of laziness on the part of the installer. Could have put a thin piece of metal under there to protect it from the bit when drilling or after causing that damage used a some sort of waterproof sealant to prevent water from making its...
I have one off a '25 just sitting around in the box the optional carbon fiber spoiler came in.
I can confirm that it uses both double sided tape and mounting clips. If someone tries to remove it without removing the interior panels and gently compressing the clips they are likely to damage the...
