I had this issue and fixed it easily. I sprayed some silicone lubricant directly on the bolt that holds the buckle to the seat near the center console. That resolved the problem, and it's been a year since without experiencing it again.

Thanks for the replies! I'm guessing the issue then would be with my metal wallet, which I usually carry in the same pocket as the keys. I will experiment with leaving the keys in one pocket and my cell phone and wallet in the other. I agree, these fobs are very sensitive!
