Update.
Successful car camp
Wife fit in the hatch perfectly - she even left the right rear seat up and never felt cramped.
No issues with doors locking/unlocking as long as the key fob was near the car (it was with wife inside).
Amazon window mesh bug nets worked flawlessly even though temps...
Awesome. Glad it worked out for you. Wife is 5'2" so I know there should be plenty of room for her.
Our setup to keep bugs out - we use a fabric mesh screen over a side window (held with magnets outside). Add in a small USB fan for circulation. Outback has no window frames on the doors but...
The MPG calculations are +2-3 higher than actual real world data through Fuelly.
I would imagine the miles left is slightly lower than actual.
Tank is 12.4 and my largest fill-ups were all under 10.5 gallons so I'm assuming another gallon or so if I ran it to 0 miles left.
I think this is...
Let us know how it goes and how your camp bed is setup.
We usually car camp with my wife in our Outback and I'm outside in a hammock.
I might wanna consider using the Integra every now and then so the drive to/from campsite will be tons more fun.
I guess it is to be expected given overseas factory's leadtimes nowadays.
I work with many far-east factories at my job. It is a never ending delay between raw materials and logistics.
I can see the benefits of remote start, esp. if in cold climates where you can set the heater prior to shutting off the car.
But I don't think this can be done with our climate controls, can it?
Honestly though, seeing how quickly this 1.5 warms up, I can't justify the cost of adding remote...
Mine didn't work great when I first got the car and it fogged up even when I'm alone.
But after a couple of cleanings, it's been working great. No issues here.
Typical Honda 2nd gears - had this in my 5G Prelude but the Integra is much less grindy. I swapped in Redline MTL with great success and had that for over 220k miles without issues. Your mileage may vary since others didn't have the same results in the Prelude as I did.
I plan to run Redline...
Not a huge list by any stretch.
88 Accord hatch LX-i auto
90 Mazda MX6 auto
97 5G Prelude SH
05 3G TL 6MT
02 WRX wagon stage2
05 Outback LL Bean 3.0 H6
Favorite was definitely the Prelude - had that for 12 years and 220k miles with numerous track/autocross days. ATTS diff was quite the joy to...
I will usually start off pretty slow in 1st gear, shift to 2nd relatively quickly then take off from there. I'd like to think this lets the driver behind me know that I was not planning on accelerating quickly. If there's an incline, I'll always roll back a little before the green as to say...
This is it. Just gotta find that point that lets the gear in without grinding. It also helps if you've got a heavier shiftknob.
I don't recall ever having to depressed the clutch fully for shifting in my past vehicles (5G Prelude, 3G TL, Bugeye WRX)
