Rate your 2023+ Integra vs previous cars

I don't really know much about cars. Most of the reviews that I've been reading about the Integra say that it's not that fast. I wonder compared to what other cars? I currently have a Mercedes E-350 and it might be total loss. Would I be able to feel a huge difference?

Will you notice the difference in power? Short answer... Yes. I mean the integra isn't slow and it does a good job when tested on the highway but after doing my own 40-80 tests not only on the integra but friends cars I have recently tested I feel that anything past .05 seconds faster 40-80 feel significantly faster than the integra. I tested a focus rs(5.8 secs) and golf R(5.2) both felt alot faster going 40-80. Also tested my wife's kia seltos sx which I thought was quick(9.0) felt like it took forever to hit 80. A Genesis g70 2.0 which took me 7.2(sec) felt alot slower than the integra but I guess it's subjective because what feels fast to you might not feel fast for me

The closest car I've had to the Integra acceleration wise was (shocker) my 2005 Civic Si. At full rip it felt pretty similar. Obviously in the mid range there's no comparison. No car will ever feel fast to me with less than 600hp thanks to the time I spent I sport bikes when I was younger.

For reference, the last bike i had was a CBR600F4I that was rated at 0-100 in 6.6s.

Yea I agree, full rip they all feel the same. I'm pretty sure that gen si is faster 0-60 consistently. On the highwY might be different

At 7.3 secs which is almost a full second slower than the integra, a difference can be felt. My uncle has an all black 2011 si. His first impression of the integra from a rip was "ehh pretty much the same" until he got on the highway and was surprised that even on 6th gear it felt really quick. In his Si he said it would bogg a bit before picking up speed

We've had quite a few cars over the years, and so far my Integra is the best that I've personally owned. I have had more cars, but these are the most recent (all in the last 5 years).
Initially I didn't know where the Integra would slot in between everything else I've owned, but it really compares well to our Giulia. Now, I'm not saying it's as nice as our Alfa, but it is darn close. The Alfa has the engineering behind it to be a technically better car. But the Integra is 95% there. So far I've noticed that the Integra it a bit better damped, as would make since with the multiple suspension settings, and the interior is more comfortable for larger people. I'm not a small dude, and the seats in the Giulia have some pretty snug bolsters that can really wear on you after a while.
Going from my 500 to this car has been such a big change. The only way these two really compare is by power, and relative acceleration. I had a piggyback tuner on my 500 so it made some healthy boost and was considerably quicker than stock. And that engine had the best noises for a 4 cylinder. It just sounded angry all the time, even with a muffler on it. My 500 was quick to get up to speed, but very old school in the way it made boost. it had nothing below 2500 rpm, then it would drop the hammer, and it was gone by about 5500 rpm. The Integra seems much more linear in its power delivery, and I find myself forgetting its a turbo car....but the rev limiter is set way too low... it really should have a 7k rpm limit.
Anyway, I guess my point is that this car is excellent. It punches way above its weight class, and I couldn't ask for anything better at this point. It's comfortable, fast-ish, economical, and stylish.

I had a 1996 honda prelude VTEC turbo. Then sold it and got a tsx v6 show car. Prelude was fun, tsx wasn’t so fun after deciding to put it as a show car lol. The Integra is quite a bit of downgrade in power compared to the j35 v6 tsx 285hp.. but no regrets in selling the tsx. I love everything about the Integra! And I get to have fun in power mods like back in the days with the lude haha

The MS3 is probably the closest comparison. The engine was awesome, but it suffered from hilarious amounts of torque steer and quite a bit of turbo lag. It also felt so cheap and plastic-y in every area. Handling felt very front heavy and kinda slow to respond. I would take the handling of the Integra over the power of the MS3 any day.

The Accord was super nice and comfy as well as my first intro to things like Android Auto, adaptive cruise, lane keep, etc. It was shockingly strong in a straight line and fun-ish in some corners, but there was zero control over the transmission and that killed the driving experience for me. The Integra has all the things I love from the Accord and then some. It's about 90% as comfortable and 200% as fun.

Obviously the 97 Civic doesn't compare, but I will say that the essence of that car is still in the Integra. Not sure if it was the peppy handling or the engine sound, but there was a familiarity somewhere in there. I loved and miss my old civic quite a bit so I think my gut was sold on the teggy after that haha.

Haven't owned much, but the Integra is easily my favorite. The interior/comfort, practicality, nimble/fun to drive, quick enough, and all the tech goodies. It strikes an impressive balance when you consider the whole package. Fun, but efficient. Manageable size, but practical. Nice interior, but not too expensive. Had several moments shortly after buying of pure content in my choice. Can't think of a car currently that would've been better overall.

Favorite was definitely the Prelude - had that for 12 years and 220k miles with numerous track/autocross days. ATTS diff was quite the joy to experience.
2nd is likely the WRX - stage2 was very quick but the chassis had irreversible rust moving in.
TL felt like a boat compared to the Prelude - not a fair comparison. Even after going through multiple sets of suspension, it just didn't feel right.
As for the Integra, it has climbed up nearly to the top. Turbo vs NA H22 200hp, it feels loads quicker than the Prelude for daily driving and gets better MPG. It's a bit off the stage2 WRX in acceleration, but I was always expecting something to break in the Subaru. It spent a lot of time in the shop. Overall, I'm quite enjoying the Integra - def. enough power for daily use and the new tech. However, I feel it's lacking a little rawness and feel in the drivetrain that was present in the Prelude and 3G Integra (ex-gf had a GSR at the time so basically had 2 high revving VTEC's) But, I honestly don't mind it at all as there's still enough that's enjoyable.

I won't put too much thought into the other cars but here are some anyway.
Accord - 1st car after license - drove it everywhere with $5/week in gas.
MX6 - commuter, boring as hell
Outback - was my daily for a number of years but driving it puts me to sleep but it is now a dedicated camping and winter vehicle with AT tires.

That said, I'm very glad to be back in the Honda family as I haven't been a 'car guy' for a while. There was really nothing in the market that interested me that was affordable and fun.
