Agreed. I'm waiting for a better option to come along. But for now I'm confortable with this solution. The goal is to get to a tire repair shop at low speeds. For people for rolls on for weeks with a spare yeah.. I wouldn't recommend this solution.
There is still the RL spare solution that...
Lol, my man doesn't waste no time.
Dm with an address and ill and I'll send you a quote including shipping. I have the wheel, the bolts you'll need and like I said, a brand new tire to go with it.
If you read through the thread it boils down to two solutions. In short one offers the closest OEM replacement with little hassle, but on the negative side your spare cover won't sit quite flush. You'll have a slight gap, but barely noticeable with the all weather mat installed.

Perfect. I updated my previous post with the part number. I'll leave it up for anyone that's planning to go this route.
BTW I decided to try this method out as well. I'll be able to do a sorta side to side comparison post between the two suggested solutions hopefully.
Thanks again good sir!
Hey @Frenzal sorry to bother you again bud. I remember you mentioned the OEM lug nuts wouldn't work, but to go with the stock RL lug nuts.
When I do an Amazon search for RL lug nuts I get back a bunch of generic results. Do you know what type of lug nut shape/spec I need to look for?
For...
I found one one ebay for a 2012 which is the last year for the RL for about a 100 bucks. Not bad, but I'm a bit concerned about 12+ year old rubber. Do you know if anyone still sells that size tire new?
