  1. Scuffed bronze rim - S type

So the paint did not work and I have now done three of four rims. The worst was hitting a pothole with gravel - just ugly. I may go to a auto paint shop and get it matched and make a fortune selling 1 ounce bottles on this forum.
  2. ITS into something more practical…?

I have a Ram 1500 4wd Limited and a Panamera 4, so the ITS is my fair-weather hot rod and much stealthier than the Porsche when I am driving too fast. The Integra would be a nice split down the middle for you too.
  3. Red interior question

After 50+ years of black, blue, burgundy, tan, gray and white interiors, I have my first car with red seats. I had concerns too, but I really like it. Even with an occasional dog riding along, seven months in it still looks showroom new.
  4. Anyone got a ticket in their ITS yet?

Pulled over once with an out of date temp tag. The cop said he loved the car and told me to get my tags. No ticket, yet... I have the white stealth version and am an older grey haired, grandfather, and who would suspect me of driving 50 or 60 over the speed limit.? I have a new Valentine One...
  5. Old R&T article about Type R front suspension set up and effects of aftermarket wheel and tires

I have watched car enthusiast change wheels and tires for years expecting big, positive changes. Unless you really know what you are doing or are following professional advice, it often doesn't do much but improve the looks. Just like using a dynamometer to verify engine changes, only track...
  6. Emergency brake failed

Yes, 2" of snow and a slight tilt backwards in my driveway. At first I wondered if it was sliding rather than rolling, but that was not the case.
  7. Emergency brake failed

I will have to play with things in the car and see if undoing my seat belt messed it up, or if it was something I did. I appreciate everyone's feedback and ideas.
  8. Emergency brake failed

With all the discussion we have had, I have to honestly wonder if somehow the auto park might have engaged and when I thought I was engaging it that I turned it off? I will monitor this closely to see if it repeats itself. In any case, I would advise people to be careful with their parking...
  9. Emergency brake failed

And the door was open as I got out and it started rolling before I could even close it.
  10. Emergency brake failed

But I did not turn the car off, I left it running while I was getting out to move another car. I was on a slight incline and wanted to make sure the parking brake was on before I got out of the car.
  11. Emergency brake failed

No, the red light was clearly on both when I got out of the car and when I got back in as it was rolling backwards.
  12. Emergency brake failed

So I am guessing it wasn't an equipment failure as much as an operator issue. Somehow I miss the low tech of a handle to pull beside the console. In the case the other day I wanted to leave the motor running and trusted the parking brake, but clearly in the future that is not the smartest...
  13. Emergency brake failed

The first thing I checked was that the red light was on, even while it was rolling backwards towards the neighbor's pool!
  14. Emergency brake failed

I drove my ITS home during the snow the other day and parked and put the emergency brake on. I was going to move the car into another part of the driveway and I left it running. As I stepped out the car started rolling backwards, I quickly jumped in and hit the brakes and this time turned the...
  15. Straightening out radiator/intercooler heatsink fins

There are combs sold to straighten motorcycle radiators, one of those should work. Amazon.com: Allstar Performance ALL10680 Radiator Fin Comb Kit , Black : Automotive
  16. Scuffed bronze rim - S type

One of these, or a mix should do it.
  17. Scuffed bronze rim - S type

I am going to search out hobby paint to see if it is a match. Testor paint that we used on models as kids have some metallic gold and copper colors that may be a close match. I'll report back.
  18. Scuffed bronze rim - S type

I can't be the only idiot who has dinged his rims already. Last week leaving a new bank drive through I caught the rear rim on the concrete divider and scuffed about 2" of the lip of the wheel. Does anyone know of a touch up paint to cover this? I figure I can lightly sand/grind the affected...
