Scuffed bronze rim - S type

I can't be the only idiot who has dinged his rims already. Last week leaving a new bank drive through I caught the rear rim on the concrete divider and scuffed about 2" of the lip of the wheel. Does anyone know of a touch up paint to cover this? I figure I can lightly sand/grind the affected area and I would like to match the color as close as I can.

Nope, I did the exact same thing. I am taking the rim to be professionally repaired over the winter while I have my winter set on. Costly but still cheaper than a new wheel. My car OCD would drive me nuts if I could always tell.

Same here with rock chips. I have one on my ITS rim and 3 on my RDX. So it does seem Acuras paint they use on the rims chips very easily. I have 1k miles on my ITS and 5k on my RDX.

I somehow scraped my wheel that was warrantied in less than 100 miles, SMH.

I am going to search out hobby paint to see if it is a match. Testor paint that we used on models as kids have some metallic gold and copper colors that may be a close match. I'll report back.

Strange Honda/Acura parts doesnt offer the paint or provide a code from the distributor.

So the paint did not work and I have now done three of four rims. The worst was hitting a pothole with gravel - just ugly. I may go to a auto paint shop and get it matched and make a fortune selling 1 ounce bottles on this forum.

I have the wheel and tire package.. So far, 4 wheels refinished and 1 tire replaced. Well worth the price. The wheels chip too easy as does the paint. Pebbles are a disaster for these cars
