Anyone else feeling like the oem wheel studs are a bit short for comfort? I'm sure that it's fine, but with the new open ended lug nuts, it appears that like only half of the stud is getting thread engagement with the lug nut.
I'm thinking about doing a set of extended studs. The part...
Well the wheels are installed and I have to say, the juice was worth the squeeze. I am super in love with how these wheels look on my car.
I'm still on the fence whether I'm going to put springs on it, because quite honestly I'm really happy with the ride height right now.
The pictures...
Finally decided to pull the trigger on a set of Apex ML-10RT's. I've really been feeling some kind of way about them and hope that they look as good on the car as I think they will. I went with 18x10 and 275/35 conti's. They should be arriving sometime this week or early next week..
The last 2 white cars that I owned had black wheels... yeah, i definitely agree about them disappearing, but they look good when you're up close.
Have you ever thought about having them powdercoated or stripped to something similar to a brushed clear? I think that I saw someone on here that...
I think that I'm just gonna say F it and pull the trigger on the gold.. I totally agree with you that all the combo's are great. I also like the race silver, but there's something just super cool about that gold that keeps bringing me back. Not to mention they're on sale and apex is offering...
I'm a big fan of the VS-5RS, but imho, they look a lot a bit too much like oem wheels.
Ive really been feeling the ML-10RT's in gold or anthracite. Does anyone have any pics of them on their car? I did a quick paint mockup, but it's hard to get a feel for how they would look.
Does anyone happen to know the static roof bar/ roof limit? According to literature and the internet, which we know never lies; the weight capacity of the roof bars is 132lbs. I read somewhere else that the roof itself has a supposed limit of 154lbs, but can't find anything to back that up...
It looks great, but what's the consensus on that intake pipe adding more heat to the intake? It seems to me like it's a giant heat magnet on top of an already large heat source.
I installed a set of splash guards as well... For whatever reason, there is a ton of tiny loose gravel/stones in my neighborhood and I can hear it coming off of my tires as I drive through.
They're not too obtrusive and they actually look pretty good on the car. .I'm especially happy that...
Agreed. I'm a big Audi fan; their styling is on point along with fit and finish. I've got an older S4 that is currently down for oil consumption and had a Q7 with some bolt ones and a tune, which made it a blast to drive for a larger (ish) SUV until it got hit and totalled out.
I'm a big fan...
What's nuts is that I've had my car since June, and I've yet to see a single one in the wild. I travel a LOT for work and still haven't seen one. Jacksonville is HUGE and has a pretty bit car culture, yet not a one. Kinda odd. :D
Fixed that for you. ;):D
I don't wanna stray too far off topic, but folding mirrors, homelink and rear seat vents are all standard fare in cars in the $45k-50k price range.
That said, I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna keep mine for a little bit, so I'll eventually get around to installing these...
And that's the shame in itself.. We the consumer, have to physically add options to a 'premium' $50k+ car to make it comparable to other cars in the same price range. (Or even lower price range for that matter).
This is pure s3x..
I'm so tired of black, anthracite, charcoal, etc..., but I'm a bit intimidated about going shiny. I think this pic sealed the deal. I really like the VS-5RS, but I've also kinda had my eyes on the ML-10RT's in gold.
That said, putting a new set of wheels on the car is a...
I'm pretty happy with the car overall as it is, but there are a few things that I'm not so crazy about and have decided to address.
How about that stupid hood prop? $50k+ car and it has a hood prop? A while back I found a thread that @notorious9i6 posted...
