Great feedback, thanks. I didnโt see any tuning mentioned - your impressions of power are untuned versus stock? Any issues with fitment?I'm very happy with it. I didn't quite know where to set expectations; I got it primarily for sound, maybe a little bump in power, and knowing that it looked like that pushed me over the edge. But now that I've put a few miles on it I can give some meaningful impressions.
Sound- if you're expecting a honking intake noise like a naturally aspirated engine, I'm sad to report that I notice nothing of the sort. It might be a little more pronounced and admittedly I still don't have enough aggressive driving to really come to a solid conclusion that it's not very noticeable- but as of this moment it's not really noticeable. I was hoping for more but also realized it's just not a noise that turbo engines are known for... but that said, the turbo noises are definitely more apparent. It was all I could do to hear any sort of turbo noises before- I had to do the whole "ricer flyby" thing by intentionally letting off the gas under pretty much full boost, and even then actively listen for it. That's all gone now; for better or for worse, the whooshes and whistles from turbo noises are a part of everyday life and I absolutely still have enough of that naive teenager that just couldn't get enough of it left over to enjoy the shit out of it. So overall B+ for noise.
Power- anyone who says the power increase isn't noticeable is full of it. It's a significant increase in push across the whole rev range! Very noticeable between I'd say ~3500-5000 rpm, which is right where I live for the type of driving I do. I don't go balls to the wall on the street hardly ever, so I absolutely appreciate the extra oomph in the midrange, and there's no denying it's there. A+ for power, with the caveat I really didn't have any expectations to exceed but I was quite pleasantly surprised.
Value- lol. I paid almost $2k for this setup, pretty sure it's easily the most expensive intake design on the market not even including the extra $560 or so for the inlet tube- which relative to the PRL for what, $500? That's pretty funny. But I've never been one to buy the cheapest option, and just looking at the picture on the website tells me it's worth it (I feel like with the Acura valve cover it actually looks even better but that might just be me...). Plus, the AHC garage guys recently put out a video where they swapped their PRL for an Infinity Design (I think including the inlet), and it made a significant amount more power on their built setup. Highly encourage everyone who owns an ITS to check out their channel for all their content in general, but that vid in particular impressed me. I don't have big power plans but it's nice to know I picked an intake with a proper amount of engineering effort put into it. Objectively probably a C- for value but as far as I'm concerned worth every penny.
Overall I highly recommend.
