Thanks for the info, I'm not sure how to test since I don't know to recreate the issue, but I will say that currently I have been carrying my key in my left jacket pocket and my phone in my right front jeans pocket.
Will do. Not sure if I'll have time this weekend, but I'll update once I get it looked at.
Thanks for reminding me that the physical key exists though, I had forgotten, lol.
If it is battery related then that would be a bit surprising to me because the car only has about 1,400 miles on it.
I'll probably end up taking it to the dealership since the car is brand new.
Starting yesterday I have had two instances where the car seemed to not respond to the key.
Yesterday I tried to open the hatch by standing right by it with the key in my pocket and it wouldn't open.
Tonight I was trying to open the front passenger door with the key in my pocket and the car...
Bumping this thread because I'm curious if anyone else has tried any solutions for the center console.
That piano black is really a pain to keep looking good.
I bought a brand-new 6MT Camaro back in 2011 having never driven an MT car before. It's a lot easier than you might think. 13 years on the stock clutch and no transmission issues, and the first two years of that was driving near Seattle, so lots of starting on inclines. Modern MT tech has made...
I will say that it was a neat little feature to show off to friends/family, but for long term not *that* useful.
On the topic of seats. Has anyone found it difficult to find a really comfortable position to sit in? It might be because I was driving the same car for 13 years and was therefore...
I was considering turning off the seat auto adjust as well. Partially because I suspected it had similar issues, and partially because it seems like unnecessary wear on the seat motors.
Has anyone had any issues with the passenger side mirror?
I think that when I use the feature where it angles the mirror down when you are in reverse it sometimes does not go back to the exact position I had it in when I shift out of reverse.
I haven't done thorough testing on it so I could be...
The gear box has been solid for me so far. Definitely tighter than the Camaro was.
When I'm coming to a stop sign I will usually hold the clutch pedal down, put the shifter in first, then come to a full stop. I'm one of those people that doesn't do rolling stops, so this way I'm immediately...
Have they announced the manual is going away? My 2025 is a 6MT.
Now I'm imagining them adding a Sport+ mode to the refresh that is just the Phearable Stage 1 tune, lol.
Mine is a lease so that means no tune for me. I was thinking about maybe upgrading to an ITS in a year or two if they'll let me, but from what I'm reading the ITS still has power curve issues without a tune, so idk. Maybe I should just learn to be okay with it, lol.
I'm still kinda' struggling with how much money I actually want to spend on this thing though. I love the look, it has some great features, and the hatch trunk is very useful. But the problem is that without a tune it's just kinda' slow, especially in the low end.
I'm thinking about getting winter tires+wheels since I found a place that will store tires for $250/year.
Might replace my all-seasons as well as part of that. The more I drive this car the more I feel like the ride is actually worse than the Camaro, and I'm wondering how much of that has to do...
I had a white camaro for a long time and I think that both are frustrating. The salt residue stands out way more on my Teggy, but the Camaro looked like instantly filthy after going past anything with a vague whiff of construction.
I think the only way you really mask dirtiness is with a...
My biggest issue at the moment is figuring out how to drive my A-Spec MT in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the highway. I haven't found a good way to keep it smooth. It seems like the car really doesn't like to be at low RPMs, so I end up putting in the clutch and coasting a lot of the time.
Thanks for the feedback. With all that mind I'll likely not do any mods.
In regards to the color though, I would like to make sure that it stays looking great for the 4 years of the lease. Any tips on that would be appreciated.
I was also curious about engine break in. The manual says 600 for...
Thanks for the reply. I'm loving the car so far. I was a bit confused at some of its behavior at first because I've never driven a car with a turbo before, but I took it for a little drive tonight and got to play around on the highway a bit with no traffic and I found it way more fun than my...
