I am planning on getting the 27won GIN turbo in a few months. But I will definitely do my research. I emailed Acura requesting data on both the 1.5T engine and the CVT. I want to know the limits of this motor and CVT. Hopefully ACURA engineers can help assist.

27won mentions the Gin turbo can output 330hp on 91 octane but if you have the flex fuel upgrade they have reached 350hp. If ACURA can verify the 1.5T is capable of handling that power I will get it.

I had a cvt but it was wrecked in a recent accident. Opted to go 6MT this time around but am still interested to see the CVT pushed to see its limits

yeah I need to learn how to drive MT. must just buy a cheap MT car and practice. There is a lot of bumper to bumper traffic in the Bay Area. But having a MT as a weekend car would be perfect

I figured. But it’s worth a shot. There is no data online regarding the 1.5t LB engine that I can reference.

a lot of hp and cvt is going to feel like turbo lag times 100. The auto rev match makes driving manual easier. Add the hill assist and it feels even easier to drive in traffic.

I bought a brand-new 6MT Camaro back in 2011 having never driven an MT car before. It's a lot easier than you might think. 13 years on the stock clutch and no transmission issues, and the first two years of that was driving near Seattle, so lots of starting on inclines. Modern MT tech has made it a lot more forgiving compared to what I have heard from people that drove MT way back in the day.

I highly recommend giving MT a shot. I feel so much more connected to a car when I'm driving MT, and I genuinely think that driving MT daily made me a safer and better driver overall.
