Hello,

I previously had a 2018 Civic EX HB and the car connect via Android - would show I had a text message on my phone. In addition, it would read it out. However, it seems the Integra doesn't.

It displays when a text comes in but I would have to press it then it shows the text. However, it doesn't read it unless if I press play/read. Is there a way to have it auto read a text message that comes on when I just press on the notification?

I am looking into this not only for the convenience but, safety.
I recall on my Civic, it would auto read out the text if I press or open the message icon.
It just seems a bit more steps just to open a incoming message and have it "not" read it out loud.

Thanks!

Try changing this setting on your phone.

Go to settings > Apps > Android Auto > Configure in Android Auto

Then activate "Show first line of message"

Hope that works 🤞

I just don't know why but it just makes a sound but no notification displayed and, there definitely isn't auto read when I click on the notification or message icon that is on the dash touchscreen display.
