Has any one removed their front bumper for the illuminated emblem or a grill replacement? Unfortunately, I must due the later. The auto body shop mentioned, once the bumper is removed and the sensors are disconnected, the entire system has to be recalibrated.
Any truth to that?

I haven’t read anything about that. There is a pigtail central plug just behind the Acura badge that allows the entire bumper to come off without needing to remove or unplug each individual sensor. I can’t see a reason it would need to be recalibrated. Sounds like they want to create a line item charge for labor that they won’t really be doing.

When I removed my front bumper to do the black A emblem, I didn’t have to re calibrate anything. It was a simple remove bumper unplug sensors and swap emblem then drove of with no issues.

Are we still waiting for aftermarket support on a front grill replacement? I couldn’t find anything online as of yet.

They’re available from the dealer.
Had the top and bottom replaced at a body shop for $750, including labor. No sensor calibration required. Still waiting on the license plate mount which is back ordered.

I mean an aftermarket grill as in something that looks vastly different from OEM.

I will! I’m pretty sure the front lips/splitters are out there already & they do really compliment the side skirts & rear diffuser well. I’m not really a fan of the front grill though, but I’m also hardly ever a fan of any front grills. I’d like to see different mesh or billet options. There is a company that has a ton of different grill styles that you can order in sheets that you can paint & attach on your own. They’re called https://www.customcargrills.com/
