Well, to each his own,I get what your saying. But your previous post said you spent about 2500 on the ceramic coat and some other services. What I'm trying to say is , since your car is a DD, it mightve been better to not have gotten that 2500 service and spend it towards ppf'ing your hood and front bumper instead for that price. The ceramic coat isn't going to protect your car from the inevitable rock chips and such from DD. Then you could've gotten a ceramic coat kit from like armor shield which is like $70 and done it yourself, so you can still have both the ppf and ceramic for about the price you paid initially.
Your car looks great. I'm just so OCD that as time goes on I'm gona notice all the rock chips that are going to be inevitable in a DD and it would drive me mad.
I hear ya, lol, I'll be fine with it, my 07 350z is 17 years old and has some bumper bumps, road rash and stone chips but not as many as you might think, I'm still not ready to wrap, paint or otherwise protect it, so to me, it will be fine.
Whether or not I was going to do the PPF I was always definitely going to do the paint correction and tint, and then I did the ceramic myself, to save some money but also to experience it and to get hands on with the car.
As I said, this was happening no matter what, the PPF was something I considered, and as I said if I had more time, I would have sprung for it, but it just wasn't something I could do then, and to be honest, I am ok with it, I don't need the car to be perfect, stuff happens, it is just a car, if it gets bad at some point, I'll consider options then like a wrap or repaint etc.. but I'm really not very concerned about it.
