So ive been noticing metal shavings appearing in the little recessed area where the latch of the hatch locks into the lower frame- sorry it's kinda hard to see in the pic i attached

my car was delivered to me with like 4 miles on it so i figured it was just leftover machining chips or whatever from the factory, but they keep repearing. every few days i notice another little pile there.

i was actually at my local acura dealership today (for something unrelated) and i brought it up, and i kinda got blown off with a generic "oh it's new, it'll stop after a bit" or whatever so i told them i'll keep an eye on it but i've never had a car do this before and i've had the car long enough now (just hit over 350 miles now) to where i'm wondering if this is indicative of some problem

has anyone else had this?

Yes I still find shavings too. I have the carbon spoiler. Why didn’t Acura design an optional part to fit using the existing holes?
