Just saw this on Reddit. Apparently the trim piece on the dash is just a sticker/vinyl of some sort. I'm kind of disappointed that this is found on the Integra to be honest. Is a properly molded, plastic trim piece too much to ask for? Thoughts?

It would be a plastic piece that is actually molded to appear as the sticker does. What a stupid question.
Uh... you know most of the "wood" used in car interiors is a graphic under plastic too, right? I'd venture to say quite a few manufacturers do the same thing to imitate carbon fiber as well.

Is that possibly just a protection film? Meant to be removed before delivery to the owner?

I took my 2023 with all the films on it and never had to remove any on this plastic piece--it looks like chipped enamel, which would be the top layer over top of a printed base. Not something to be alarmed about, in my opinion.

Yes, I'm aware, but we're not talking about fake wood. We're talking about plastic. Plastic can be easily molded to look like that without having to cut corners with a sticker. The reason for synthetic wood pieces is because the cost cutting is more than likely for a legitimate reason. But plastic? Come on. That's ridiculous. Acura isn't a luxury car, it's a premium performance brand, but even so, that kind of cheap cost-cutting is unbecoming of the brand in my opinion.

No, unfortunately. It's the gray texture of the console trim that is a sticker itself. I just hope that it doesn't peel too much with age.

I agree; I think you'd have to intentionally TRY to peel it off or damage it heavily for it to even begin to peel, but it is still a surprisingly cheap method from a premium, performance brand.
