Going from 2k LS Integra to 06 TL i chose the automatic. It was nice at first as I thought I’d enjoy driving more. It got old very quickly and I dealt with it for 17 years. Now with the ITS that excitement and enjoyment in driving has returned. But with this car it’s so simple and effortless; I won’t regret manual for sure. In this day and age where very few people know how to drive manual, there’s a certain prestige to itI always bought manual cause it makes boring drives more involving. Whenever I test drove a car in both versions, like the GTI, I preferred the manual. If both are available it’s a no brainer but when only auto it’s a more difficult choice.
I’m driving my first auto in Taiwan cause the only manual Focus here is the $49k Focus ST. I like the Focus ST-Line better than my 2017 6mT hatch, so it’s not always manual wins.
