If this guy is a legit engineer and correct. We are definitely getting more than 200hp. He said more than a civic. That could be anywhere above 180. Then says closer to the Si vs the CTR. So it’s closer to 200 vs 300. And then says less than the tlx. I’m thinking we get 230hp. And he mentions tq ruling these days. So probably around the same tq. With that, even with a bit more weight, and enthusiast driven “quarks” and tunes to the CVT. She could be a low 6 second 0-60. Maybe under 6.

He also says the type s will have more than the CTR. I always figured the same or maybe a little less. But damn. 325hp for the type s?

Could just be more than current CTR but same as new CTR would be my guess

That's what I'm thinking too. More than FK8 but slightly less or same as the the 2023 CTR. Maybe 310hp? 320hp?

I think 310 would be nice but I don’t see the 330 that was leaked for the states CTR. Only reason is the CTR outside made like 310 before hand if I’m not mistaken.

so probably 220ish for base and 300-310 for ITR give or take
I guess worst case. Even if it’s lower with tunes you’d get the extra 20HP out of it

He says more than CTR but less than TLX Type S which is a bit of a mixed message
That means between 305 and 355. Unless he’s referring to the new CTR which has unknown power. But it’ll be in the 300’s for sure. Speculation of the Rdx or base tlx motor is dead.

If the 330 leak is true. And the engineer was talking about the new CTR. That would shorten the range the type s could be to 330-355. If the type s has let’s say 340 hp, the issue is, who would buy the CTR at the same price? That would mean the type s will be into the 40’s

The anticipation is real lol! But my gut says Acura isn’t dumb. They know a regular CVT and 200 hp in a heavier car will get trashed. But an aggressively tuned CVT with different modes, 230 hp, and then being a blast to drive. They’ll crush it in sales.

Yeah I get what you mean. Its really confusing to say exactly what he was meaning. It could also mean higher torque but lower HP.

Which I’d be cool with. But he could also just be some dude trolling us too lol.

I’m naively taking his word as gospel. Because that’s what I’m hoping for. It’s funny because it doesn’t matter. He could be real and our guesses based on it could be spot on. Or he could be full of it. Either way it’s not going to change reality when it hits hopefully soon. But it’s nice to think about until then.

I think its "zebrasrlyingtoyou" like "Zebras ARE lying to you" but I will say thats a sus name if I've ever seen one haha

Also that guy has been commenting a few months saying he is a honda/acura engineer...don't know how that helps his credibility, but at least he's consistent lol

This is some sad news if true. The poster appears to work at an Acura dealer.

Can't see the CVT as part of Integra , would be a serious step backwards, and not inline with the rest of what the car has to offer - LSD - Big brakes - 19" wheels - so more likely the 8spd DCT from the ILX, a perfect fit , the 10spd DCT is useless with the 1.5L engine - the entire post seems bogus , with very little information ,
