Agreed. I think forcing people to pay the premium to get the manual is going to further reduce the number of people who get one. They should have offered it in the base. I am thinking they did this so it would not take away from SI sales.

They were basically forced to do so because Honda didn’t want it taking sales away from Si.

It might've been a better idea to offer it on the base and make the LSD/Manual an $800 option or something like that.

Your facts are incomplete. The power train isn’t entirely exact. The Si doesn’t have a CVT option. And being that the civic sport with CVT is almost the same 0-60 as the Si, the CVT integra will easily negate any added weight.

This is a good point. For reference... my 19' Civic Coupe EX CVT was tested as only being about .2-.3 seconds slower to 60 than the manual Si coupe, despite being slightly heavier AND 30hp down from the Si. In a straight out race with someone who isn't amazing at rowing their gears, basically a dead heat. Obviously this doesn't account for the much improved handling side of the Si over my civic.

Point being... even if the Integra comes in around 150-200lbs heavier than the Si the CVT may end up making it still quicker than the Si and definitely quicker than the manual Integra. If the Si manual manages 6.9-7.1 seconds (figures I've seen in reviews) then the CVT Integra may be closer to the 6.6-6.7 figure. Obviously that still leaves matters of handling performance up in the air based on weight and tire choice. But the *slightly* wider stance of the Integra over the civic should help with cornering stability and a planted feeling. And the inclusion of the adaptive dampers on the top trim might work further to offset weight increase and bring it more in line with the lighter Si in terms of those handling metrics. It also doesn't take into account any custom tuning Acura may have done to the engine, transmission, exhaust, etc which could also help (or hurt) it's numbers.

Just found out a cool detail. All 2023 MY of Acura’s will be getting 2 Years/24,000 mile maintenance included. This included:

Engine Oil
Tire Rotation
Multi-Point inspection.

That’s a pretty good deal that should of been added to 2022 MY.

Also there is a lot more to a car than 0-60. My Escort ZX2 from 2000 had a 0-60 of 7.2-7.4s, that doesn't mean its almost as quick as a new Si. Just means it had better gearing, and less weight to move.

Yes this is the base as you can see it has the 17 inch rims, chrome around the greenhouse, no fog lights.

Agreed on the White getting dirty faster that’s why I opted out of the Apex Blue even though I like that color.

I love the gray and with the red it looks great. But for me it’s a LOT of red. Originally when the color combos leaked I wanted blue with black. But seeing the black on black option. The interior gets to dark. Also in the redline review I believe the red one he’s in has the orchid interior. It seems more biscuit that white.

I’m actually more concerned with the microsuede. I had a microsuede couch once. It was so sticky, you couldn’t freely move or rotate. Sold it for an all leather one. I know sticky in a drivers seat isn’t a bad thing but I don’t want to feel Velcroed to it.

And then the wear. The seat bottoms get the most weighted contact that anything else in the vehicle. Then being microsuede, how does that wear? Does it flatten and look bad after 3 months?

I think so too. A 30k 6 speed would all but eliminate Si sales. The price gap saves the Si but also is justified imo. The tech package adds a ton of stuff.

There was a chart with trims and percentages. I assumed it was estimated sales per trim. The base is 10% which makes sense. It’s close to the Si. Some won’t want the extras for a couple grand. The 2 auto aspecs cover 75% and the manual is 15%.

I guess we need to confirm if it is in fact "alcantara" as that is a specific branded material. If it's like my Macan, a lint roller once a month does the trick to keep it clean.

I think we will hear Type S once CTR goes on sale which is slated for Summer time. I expect Type S reveal in September
