The issue is that the Type S can’t have the exact same drivetrain as R. Reason that it can’t is because Honda doesn’t allow anything to have the Type R engine. I’m not talking about detuned versions of the same engine I’m talking about 1:1 of the same engine in a different vehicle. Type R will have a ton of mechanical upgrades to it that the S won’t get which if you think about it drives up the overall cost of the R because R&D. I just don’t see the S being higher then R in both pricing and power. Not only that, the S is said to get an Automatic and a manual, if Honda allowed the S to have the same 2.0t and mechanical aspects they would just be eating up the CTR’s sales even if one is track focused.
I wouldn't expect it to be 1;1 but if they give the "old" R engine to the S, even if that engine gets a more "street-able Fuel efficient tune" would also increase the return on investment on that engine to help offset R development costs. Same if it gets a lot of previous gen R suspension parts.

It could be which we all already know the R&D for the Integra wasn’t as crazy because both Civic and Integra were developed alongside each other. What I still feel is that TLX 2.0T will be the engine but tuned specifically for Type S. It could get some internal reworks so that it doesn’t just seem like a TLX engine was slapped into the engine bay. The great aspect of putting the TLX engine in it is that the linkage for the Manual from the Accord would fit perfectly and be able to house a 10 Speed auto tuned for Type S. if they make it around let’s say 280-290 HP while still offering a manual and automatic, LSD for both transmissions, 4 Piston Brembo Brakes, possibly a rear crossbrace like TLX S and other structural rigidity while still maintaining a great price around $37-38.5k then I can see that as an absolute win. Now if they crank out at least 305-308 HP it would be competitive for the class although lacking AWD would still be a great option.

Difference between the Accord and Type R engine

- Different turbo
- Different injectors
- Accord has a balance shaft, R does not

So I looked at the tires the 18’s and 19’s have. For 18’s they are Continental ContiPro Contact 235/40 front and rear while 19’s are Goodyear Eagle I’m assuming Sport 235/35

Strange, the infotainment of the top trim lacks the integrated Navigation of the Sport Touring Civic. Surprising at it's 35K price point.

Where does it say it lacks navigation?

Also is anyone planning on getting a screen protector for it? I see several options on Amazon. It’ll be nice to wipe finger prints off easier. Does anyone has experience with them on the civic? Wondering if the heat affects the adhesive on the protector over time.

Don’t forget Tiger Eye Pearl is exclusive to it ?. After a year and a half of owning it or sooner I would choose Tiger Eye Pearl, Apex Blue or Liquid Carbon again.

im not a big fan of Tiger Eye Pearl. My Accord Sport 2.0t was Platinum White but I ALWAYS wished I had gotten it in Black...I might go Black/Red for the Type S but Im HOPING the Type S gets a unique leather color...Blue, Burgundy, Brown..something unique.

Navigation in a FWD A3 requires spending almost $43K. LMAO! Not worth it! But again I don’t see anything that says the Integra doesn’t have built in navigation.
