Have any of you hardwired a dash cam? Looking to install a dual camera (front/rear) but hoping someone with experience could let me know what I'm in for.

I'm setting a dash cam up soon and going to try and hook up to the autodimming mirror. There's a piece you can buy where you convert the plug from the auto dimming to a usb so you don't have to run a long wire

Yep. Dad has it on his subaru and got a really short usb cord and it works perfectly for his radar and dash cam. Makes it easier to install and you don't have to run wiring around the car.
The real question is when are manufacturers going to wake up and build dash cams into cars like Tesla does.I'm going to check it out today. My dad has it on his subaru. I think it's called dongar adapter . I have to check how many pins our auto dimming mirror has

It’s unfortunate Acura didn’t see the opportunity to standout in the crowd here.I agree. I'm surprised this isn't an option
Not really. The manual on the Acura site was a bunch of interlinked web pages. I had a 1 day subscription and printed some items to pdf, but it's clumsy at best. Can you share that factory service data?
A129 Plus DuoJust curious, what dash cams are you guys using? (Hardwired or not)
